Discussion of Policies
o Campus Sustainability
 The Task Force provided edits to the proposed policy and Emily Messa agreed to
make appropriate changes and distribute to the Task Force members.
o Campus Dining
 The Task Force provided edits to the proposed policy and Emily Messa agreed to
make appropriate changes and distribute to the Task Force members.
Update on the AASHE Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS)
o The Task Force requested presentation of AASHE STARS at the next meeting. Emily
Messa agreed to present on this topic.
Update on RecycleMania – Alpa Vaghani
o Alpa presented an update on RecycleMania statistics, including that final results will be
revealed on April 17, 2009.
Earth Week Events
o Mark your calendars for the Eco Carnival; 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at PGH/Butler Plaza
