announcements— This Week’s Interview for the Government Information Librarian Position
Cancelled Roger Kossen has withdrawn his candidacy for the government Information librarian position.
The committee will be meeting to determine its next steps. Staffroom Vending Machine Will Not Scheduled Be Replaced We received word late last week that the staffroom food vending machine will not be replaced.
David Casida from Sodexo indicated that a decision was made not to replace all of the older
machines due to the cost of a new machine, $80,000. This decision will impact both Library and
MRC staff. The MRC was notified that their other vending machine also would not be replaced.
Staff members will still have access to the vending machine in the 24 hour study room. Please let
me know what you think about this development. Reminder: Farewell Party Scheduled for Wednesday The farewell party for both Tram Nguyen and Joe Barnes will be held on Wednesday, September
3rd from 10:30Am to 11:30AM in the staffroom.
