Business Data Communications graduates work with a variety of computer
configurations. The Business Data Communications curriculum focuses on
entry-level professional preparation and prepares students to work with the
hardware and software needed to use personal computers, minicomputers,
and networked computers. The curriculum also contains courses in
accounting, math, network operating systems (Novell NetWare, Microsoft
Windows, UNIX), as well as a capstone project.
Information Support
Services (ISS) Option:
Focuses on the skills required to
perform in a “help-desk”
environment. Individuals that
graduate from this program will
understand how to problem
solve, present, and communicate
solutions effectively to their endusers.
Networking Option:
Focuses on higher-level network
operating systems and procedures.
Networking Students will build a firm
foundation in the areas of PC
troubleshooting and networking.
Individuals that graduate from this
program will understand how to design,
implement, and maintain a network
infrastructure.
