It aims at changing the manner in which governance and public services are provided to citizens. ‘Digital India’ also aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge based economy, the focus being transformative, to realise IT (Indian Talent) + IT (Information Technology) = IT (India Tomorrow). The Programme also aims at delivering good governance to citizens by synchronized and coordinated engagement with both Central and State Governments. Delivery of services through e-governance represents a paradigm shift, which will involve government departments/officials changing the way they work and tools they use to enable a faster and more efficient delivery. The Government of Maharashtra requests you to kindly organise such events to celebrate “Digital India” week in your college/Institution in the month of July 2015 and inform the same to the undersigned with name of the programme organised, date of the programme, name of the nodal officer, phone number of the nodal officer and photographs of the event. The nodal officer RTMNU is required to compile the information received from the affiliated colleges and send the same to the Government of Maharashtra. I give you a proposed format of the Event to be organised at your Colleges/Institution 1. Pre-Event Activities (7-10 days prior to the main event) Posting of event details on the Institutions website/notice board/Library/hostels etc Announcement and organisation of competitions for students/faculty Selection of best entries of competitions Inviting local media personnel at the event. Registration of participants. 2.
