Hines College of Architecture and Design, the School of Art’s Graphic Design Program, Athletics, and the division of Administration and Finance, will be sponsoring a competition to design a student tailgate commemorative marker. The marker will commemorate and recognize the financial contributions made by students to the construction of TDECU Stadium which opened Aug. 29, 2014. It will also serve as a visual designation of the student tailgating area. On Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, the competition will be formally announced to campus. The announcement will include the competition schedule, contest guidelines, design parameters, campus location of the marker, selection and judging criteria, as well as additional details.
