The accounts have been created. Nine new accounts. Important things to remember:
1. User name is first initial and up to seven characters of the last name. eg: John Doe"s login would be jdoe
John Ribowski"s login would be jribowsk
2. The initial password is the full Social Security number (no spaces or dashes, numbers only). The user can change the
password after first login.
Ok... the easiest way to test this is to have the students go to http://mail.vtc.edu and try logging in. If they choose to set
up a mail
client they can follow the instructions for POP3 mail client configuration on the IT portion of the LINC page:
http://www.vtc.edu/linc/it/help/outlook.htmi
(Don"t forget IMAP is disabled, the page needs updating this summer)
Anyone who has a problem can get in touch with me and I"II try to help them through it.
