Area: Fact Fluency Strategy: The Taped Problems Intervention Appropriate Grade Level: K-8 Procedures/Steps: -Provide students with a worksheet of basic math facts (one-digit by onedigit addition, subtraction, multiplication or division computations) -While they are completing the worksheet play a tape that has a recording of the problems being read with the answers provided -Repeat this until the student has mastered their facts and then move on to another set of facts Comments and/or tips: -If the student gets the problem wrong have them cross out their answer and fill in the correct one -Once the student becomes faster at answering the facts have them try to finish before the tape does Source: McCallum, E., & Schmitt, A.
