Introduction
The 1−port ISDN BRI S/T leased line WAN interface card (WIC) (WIC−1B−S/T−LL) is designed
specifically for the Cisco 1603 R and 1604 R routers. It is intended for users who require a dialup ISDN BRI
line (from the Cisco 1603 R or 1604 R router's built−in ISDN port) and an ISDN leased line (from this ISDN
BRI leased line WIC inserted into the Cisco 1603 R or 1604 R router).

Features
The following lists the features related to the WIC−1B−S/T−LL.
• 64−kbps of ISDN leased line support on the WIC−1B−S/T−LL card is only available on the B1
channel.
• Supported on the Cisco 1603 R and 1604 R routers.
• Does not support ISDN dialup.
• Single B−channel WIC (B1 channel always assigned).
• The no isdn leased line bri <interface−number>command will default the box to the 64 k leased
line mode.
• Does not support hot swap, however no hardware damage will occur if it is swapped while the power
is on.

Note: This WIC is only supported in the Cisco 1603, 1603−R, 1604, or 1604−R. The WIC−1B−S/T−LL card
supports the 128k leased line starting in Cisco IOS Version 11.3(3)T.
Note: The Cisco IOS software releases provided are typically the minimum version required to support the
platform, module, or feature in question. Use the Software Advisor (registered customers only) to choose
appropriate software for your network device: match software features to Cisco IOS and CatOS releases,
compare IOS releases, or find out which software releases support your hardware.
Configuration
Note: The WIC−1B−S/T−LL card is automatically configured in ISDN leased line mode and never operates
in dialer mode.
