旅遊心得
這次的布里斯本之行，實在是出乎我的意料之外，其實我實在沒想過要
在求學的階段出國過，一來是因為經濟的因素，二來是因為沒有太多的時間
可以做這一些的規劃，在我考上義守大學之後我才間接地知道有這項的獎學
金，當然知道得當下是興奮又有點不敢置信的，當初我本來預計是希望可以
到英國去，可以因為英國成本提高，所以義守取消這一項選擇，至於美國則
不在我的考慮之列，理由是兩百美金的簽證費，對我來說這是一筆不必要的
開銷，至於澳洲則有吸引我的地方，第一他不向美國，治安相對較好，第二
對於我來說美國對我沒有那麼大的吸引力，也許是因為從小周圍就充斥這美
式的文化，綜合以上兩點使我決定去澳洲。
澳洲與臺灣的不同點在於相當多的方面，從生活上的建築，人的個性到
對我息息相關的教育，都和臺灣有這顯著的不同。當我下飛機後前往昆士蘭
大學的路上，我發現了第一個不同點是建築，布里斯本的建築和許多電影中
的外國鄉村是一樣的建築風格，不過還是略微的不同，因為那裏為了避開動
物多採干欄式的建築，早期的屋舍下方多卷養家禽，現在則是發揮空間加蓋
房舍，像我此次就是住在一樓，而家人住二樓，曾經聽其他寄宿家庭的父母
說因為早期的房舍多具歷史意義，所以有些早期的房舍對半切開，移到其他
的地方，當作歷史文物，他們的建築大多具又設計感，雖然每一間的世紀都
不一樣不，不會有凌亂的感覺。房屋大多配有游泳池、烤肉架還有花園等
等，內部和臺灣的差不多，不過廚房相當得乾淨、整齊，對他們來說做菜是
一件享受，而不是勞動。在城市的規劃上，有機能取向，住宅區裏面罕有商
店，最近的商店距離我住的地方需要步行三十分鐘，而城市則是在更遙遠的
方向，每一個衛星市鎮都幾乎都有一個大型的購物中心，比較像是臺灣的家
樂福，而城市也就是市中心則是商業聚集的地方，在那裏你可以發現各式各
樣的精品店以及其他類型的商業行為，不過城市對我的吸引力則沒有這麼的
強烈，原因無他，只是覺得普通極了！
在外地時最重要的東西莫過於盤纏，但因為我忘記了我的卡號只好再重
新辦一張卡片，記得當時我計的時候有去試密碼，在 ATM 前面試了幾次，
發現竟然不向臺灣有吃卡片的服務，當下有點震驚，不過到了辦完卡片的時
候那個經理對我說基於安全的理由，我們要把領錢的密碼和卡片分開寄送，
當時覺得真有趣，因為只要有人拿了我這兩封信就可以，領取我帳戶裡的所
有存款，當下覺得他們真的很天真，在許多方面真的覺得他們是比較天真
的，不過這種的天真比較像是像小孩子那種善良的天真。
這次來澳洲的目的當然是學英文了，我們是一個禮拜都要上課除了六、
日不用，其餘的都是英文課，當然以些人會想這樣怎麼受的了，不過這就要
說說他們的上課方式了，他們的上課方式和臺灣的很不一樣，他們採用小組
討論的方式上課，這樣的好處是我們可以認識其他的外國人，而也可以無時
無刻的練習這英文，小組中的每個人程度都相差不多，但論及專業知識每個
人都是自己領域的專家，像我們那一班有醫生、地質學家、軟體工程師、工
程師、政治家、運動家等等，相當的多，再碰到與自己相關領域的時候，就
可以分享給其他的人知道，學到的東西凌駕於英文之上。而老師也會從各方
面教授我們英文，像是從歌曲之中，訓練我們的聽力，這樣的訓練是無形的
因為音樂的好聽，使我們忘卻乏味的學習，而有些則利用當地澳洲的文化，
讓我們在學習英文的同時更進一步的認識澳洲，在我看來我所在的國際學生
英語教學中心就像一個大的團隊，目標就是要把英文這項產品賣到我們的手
裡。
在澳洲待的這五個星期是一個相當不錯的異國體驗，在了解文化的差
異，之後更能對自己的國家產生更深層的認識，而對於世界則有另一翻不一
樣的解釋，認識的面更廣，這些事在哪裡的國際學生所教給我的，有時我們
國際學生會聊聊國家與國家之間的文化，有時這些文化是相同的，有時則
不，而在談到某些議題式的共通性，我們又可以聊得很暢快，有種酒逢知己
千杯少的感覺，所以有時聊天的時候我們會說希望係次可以再見面，這大概
是想要維持這份記憶的方式吧！
TRAVEL REVIEWS
This trip was my first time to go abroad . It was a very special experience that I’ve
never had . Brisbane is a city that very different from any other city in Taiwan . At my
first sight, it’s clean , well-ordered and beautiful . Nothings to be bad at least at first sight.
I started my trip at Kaohsiung International Airport with other cute girls who are the
same university as me . I felt not only nervous but excited because it was also my first
Flight. In the beginning of this trip I saw an amazing scene in Kaohsiung – night view
(the following picture). You can’t imagine how beautiful it was, especially you are not on
the plane .
Although the flight attendant warned us “Do not turn on your 3C devices”, but I still did
that (I turned off my device when she had said “Shut down your device”). I took this
picture because I wanted to share you with this view that I saw.
After long flight time ,
finally, we arrived to Brisbane .
It was tired and excited . We
walked around the Brisbane
airport, and just like the kid so
curious. After exploring, we
went to University of
Queensland (UQ) to see our
homestay parents. When we
had got to UQ, I saw my
homestay family mother and
son . My homestay Mom who
born in Indonesia is a Chinese , and the son aged 18 drove me to our house. This picture
is my homestay’s house which is so big and good-looking. I couldn’t do anything but sleep
because it was exhausted . When I had woke up they were eating dinner. It was the first
time that I ate food with foreigner. The dinner was some salad, roast beef and crashed
potato, and so on. Their salad looked like grass, but it tested so delicious not just like the
Taiwan’s. The crashed potato has amazing flavor. I like the test of this dish. When we ate
the delicious dinner we talked about my main purpose of this trip and my future . We
talked almost everything. It was
a long time to eat. I thing they
not just only eat food but also
showing their love to each
other. That is why I like to eat
with them at dinner. After
dinner I met my roommate
Alexis who is a teacher in
Chile. He went to UQ to learn
how to teach students. As me he
got the scholarship from Chile
government. He helped me more
than I can say.
Go to school was a hard time , because I do not know how to take the bus. My
homestay Mom gave me a map that told me all of the detail of how to go to school , but I
do not totally understand that map. When I was worrying about it, the saver came and
asked me to go with him. Guess who? It’s Alexis, my Chile roommate. Of course , I said
“Yes”.
In the beginning of the school day, we had a classify test. I was distributed to four
Orange which is class 4. Everything is different from Taiwan’s. In the class, we separate
into several small groups to discuss everything in class, and we changed our group
members very often . I talked to other people coming others countries. We cooperated to
finish the work that teacher said . It had much fun , because different people in our class
has different major or work , for example , there was politician , programmer, engineer,
geologist, doctor, and so on . It was a very special experience .
When the end of the school day, of course , I had to go home . It seem everything to be
okay, but I forget something. Something I should know in the first – it is the way to my
homestay house . I totally forgot about it (I had a map.), but I was not so nervous at all . I
just walked around the bus station which is near my homestay house (I was not so sure
about it in the right moment. After lone time, I would knew it. ) and took a photo
including house , animal , scenery and so on . Finally I got home by following the map.
After the school on Friday, we went to city by city cat (a city bowl served by
Translink ). It was fantastic to take the city cat over Brisbane River. Along the river, we
saw the scenery near this river including Australia building, water sports, bridges (like
Kurilpa Bridge), and so on . Finally, we got to city. The first building we saw was casino. It
look like it was an old building. How beautiful it was. However, it was not our
destination . Our final destination was shopping. Why was shopping? The reason was I
went to there with a lot of beautiful girls (our group students), so that was why we went
shopping. Everything looked like good except the price , so I did not buy anything.
The first weekend we went to

zoo and not so expensive just coast
you 20 Australia dollars. This
zoo is not like Taiwan’s, because
the animal are so energetic. I had
two main purposes. One was
Koala, other was kangaroo. In the
beginning we saw a lot of kink of
birds. Some of them were
beautiful and glance . The others
were scared . After browsing we went to see a birds feeding show. it is a show that I can
participate in . when I took the feeding dish , the birds flied to the dish . Some of them
stood on my head . I was so horrible but excited . Following the time table , we went to see
shepherd show. The marvelous was so excellent, it made sheep doing some difficult show.
It was so unbelievable that they could perform so well . After the end of this show, we
finally saw the main character – kangaroo. It was so cute . I could not believe that I would
have this day to see the most ancient animal – kangaroo, so I took a lot of picture of this.
It is lunch time . I ate a sausage which had a different flavor comparing with Taiwan’s.
Near the restaurant, koala was in my sight. Some of my friends went to take photo with
it, but I did not. The reason was too expensive . It coasted you 20 Australia dollars. It
mean I could come here again , if I paid it for taking a picture with Koala. The day in
the lone pine was a lot fun . We all had a gorgeous day here .
In the third week , my friends and I decided to go to surfer paradise where is located
in Gold coast and stayed there . In the first day, we went to the beach . It was so amazing,
the sand was unbelievable soft. Walking around there was a kind of an enjoyment. I forgot
to bring the togs, but I still played the sea water. I enjoyed the sea water when it waved to
me . Everything going well except weather, because it was winter in Southern Hemisphere.
When the dinner time was approaching, we went to a shopping mall which would take
us 30 minutes to get here . When we got there , do you know what was happen? It had
already closed , so we got nothing. We were still hungry, so we decided going to McDonald
and finishing our dinner. Next day, we went to the Movie world . I just played one
equipment - Roller coaster which was called Superman . It was so scared but excited . We
spent whole day there . We saw the car show and a lot of things. It was so wonderful .
In the school days, I did a lot of good things such as going to Brisbane Botanical
garden , jogging with my roommate and his friends, shopping in the shopping mall and so
on . In the school , I had a good time . The team work was so fantastic every ideal would be
developed into different ways. Some of them was the same as mine , but others was the
things that I would never think of. That is team work . Beside this, I had many interesting
class such as song option which is a course that I could learn English with beautiful
songs and SWYM (Say What You Mean). In the song option , I learned some songs such as
father and son . It is a song that the father have words with his son . All we needed to do
was fill the lyrics by just listening this song several times. It is helpful to my listening.
Another interesting class is SWYM. SWYM is a class that teach students slang. I learned so
many words that is hard to find it in the dictionary. Although every day I had just all
English class, but it is not boring at all . The reason is that teachers gave us different
things every class and we talked to each of my classmates. I think I got a lot of things
there . Especially my writing, it has a great change before I went to Australia. This trip to
Brisbane I had got a lot of things not only English skill , but also many foreign friends.
Some of my foreign friends are keep in contact. It is my most important treasure in this
trip, and we all hope we can meet in the place of this world .

五、四、三、二、一……，澳洲學海研習團啟程的日子終於來臨。第一次出
國的我，在家人的陪伴下，托著厚重的行李以及背負著家人離別的不捨，從高雄
小港機場搭乘飛機，歷經大約九個小時的飛行，於下午抵達了充滿異國風情的澳
洲。也因為長時間的飛行，下飛機後的第一個念頭竟然是：不想再搭飛機回台灣
了！
一抵達澳洲機場，正當我們對於入境程序充滿徬徨時，恰好遇見擁有同樣溝
通語言的帶團導遊，在他熱心的幫助下，我們順利地進入機場大廳。等待同樣前
往昆士蘭大學但來自不同國家的遊學團抵達之餘，我們不僅用相機捕捉了在澳洲
的第一刻回憶，也幸運地目睹了難得的機場求婚記。
在巴士的護送下，終於來到了期盼以久的昆士蘭大學，大夥們開始尋找各自
的寄宿家庭，迎接我的寄宿媽媽 Sally 則是一位上了年紀的印度尼西亞人，她相
當的貼心，每每在假日旅行前都會細心告知交通事宜，以及提供當地著名的景點
作為參考。我的寄宿家庭和其他團員相較之下，距離學校不算太遠，大約步行半
個小時即可抵達。回到屬於我的寄宿家庭後，便擁有了在澳洲暫居的小臥房。雖
然我的寄宿家庭不像同行的團員有室友或家庭成員，但和寄宿媽媽單獨相處的日
子，其實別有一番樂趣，學習英文的速度也似乎更加快速。
隔天早晨，是我正式成為 ICTE 一份子的第一天，也是我第一次適應屬於澳
洲的獨特氣候，因此在服裝打扮上，花費了不少時間，導致頭髮來不及仔細打理。
熱心的寄宿媽媽擔心我尚未熟悉上學路徑而無法準時報到，便熱心地載我到校。
在大廳短暫的報到後，緊接著是拍攝屬於自己學生證大頭像的時光，我則是一邊
懊惱著自己頂了一頭稍微凌亂的頭髮一邊接受拍照。稍後，眾人群聚於禮堂內，
開始接受分級考試，除了閱讀、聽力、寫作之外，還有令我恐懼的口說。儘管，
打從出國前就接收到分級考試的訊息，但真正面臨時，不免還是懷抱著幾分忐忑
不安的感覺。完成緊張的分級考試，學校貼心地為我們安排了布里斯本導覽巴士，
充滿新鮮感的巴士之旅，不但化解了前刻所經歷的不安，也為每位新生的第一天
劃上一個完美的句點。
第一天正式的上課日，我在佈告欄上來來回回尋找上課的教室，本來擔心暑
期沒碰英文的我，會表現得不盡理想，但最後很慶幸看到自己被分配在中間等級。
這裡的教學系統和台灣相較之下，可以說是截然不同。在這裡，一個班的成員最
多大約二十位左右，教室只有一扇門。另外，異於一般點名的方式，學生們可在
電腦上刷學生證條碼證明出席，配合感應時的音效，總會讓我感覺像在超市結帳。
然而，對於授課的模式，皆是採取彼此互動與討論，老師總會鼓勵學生勇敢地表
達自己的看法，儘管有時發表的言論，會在眾人面前感到出糗，但卻不會承受太
大的壓力。也因為如此，就連平常在課堂上不敢發言的我，也多了幾分勇氣開口
表達自己的思想。此外，我還接觸到來自不同國家的學員，像是俄羅斯、中國大
陸、韓國、沙烏地阿拉伯、義大利、日本以及智利，除了體驗到與各種不同口音
的人交談之外，更增廣不少見聞。
類似往常在台灣的上學方式，雖然都是通勤，同樣也是大約三十分鐘的路程，
但少了摩托車代步，只能靠著雙腳一步一腳印，感覺還挺累人的。還記得剛抵達
的第一個禮拜，平常沒什麼運動習慣的我，光走那些上下起伏的山坡路，喘得快
跟一隻牛沒什麼兩樣，腳也出現一些破皮的跡象。但也因為這步行的機會，讓我
有機會不疾不徐地欣賞沿途美景，仔細觀察那屬於布里斯本獨特的地形與房屋設
計。此外，相較於台灣馬路如虎口的形容，在布里斯本卻可以體會到行人的獨特
地位，喇吧聲更是很難有機會聽到！不論是在有無紅綠燈的路口，只要有路人準
備穿越馬路，大部分的司機都會停下來讓行人先穿越，直到行人走至對向車道時
才再度駛過。這種交通的禮儀，看來是我們該好好學習的一部分。
布理斯本的景觀跟我土生土長的家鄉相比，可以算是完全不同的世界，生活
步調也比台灣緩慢許多。第一次乘坐巴士來到布理斯本，最令我感到新奇的是當
地的廣告看板。和傳統看板不同之處則是兩三則廣告匯聚於一個廣告看板上，類
似傳輸帶系統，每隔幾秒鐘，便會自動翻頁，更新成另一則廣告。不但可以節省
廣告看板的數目，更達到高效率的空間運用。這裡的街道，雖然不像台灣的直，
多處皆是山坡路，有的甚至十分陡峭，行走起來有點考驗人體極限，但卻很難見
到坑坑巴巴的路面。每每乘坐寄宿媽媽的車，感覺就像在搭乘雲霄飛車一般，可
以感受到失重的刺激感。我想，或許也因為這樣，外國的遊樂園才會想發展更加
刺激的雲霄飛車設施吧！
至於短暫的假日時光，我拜訪了布里斯本不同的特色景點：市立植物園、黃
金海岸、龍柏無尾熊保育園、庫莎山、南岸公園、中國城……等。其中，最另我
印象深刻的則是澳洲的黃金海岸，那裡的沙十分淨白，海水清澈澄明，沒有一點
都市塵囂的汙染。第一次來到這樣海邊的我，彷彿像是來到了人間仙境。儘管屬
於冬季的海風不停向我侵襲而來，我還是忍不住想讓腳丫子好好體驗一下海水的
溫度與獨特的氣息，真希望以後有機會能再度造訪這美到極點的海岸！然而，可
惜的是，最後兩個禮拜的水土不服，打亂了我繼續旅行的興致，只能留在家裡歇
息。
結束了這趟旅程，拖著厚重的行李再度前往來時的機場，除了面對回國親切
的喜悅之情，也多了一思默默的不捨。在這趟短短五週的旅程裡，不但欣賞不同
的美景，認識來自不同國家的新朋友之外，也接觸到不同國家的文化。這次的澳
洲留學之旅，適應了各種不同的衝擊，讓我學會了獨立，勇敢地面對一切新的挑
戰，更擁有了不同以往的思維。這些美好的回憶與體驗，必須小心地封存於心底，
只怕經過無數歲月的洗禮之下，當初的悸動與成長會在不經意中抹滅……。

With the time flying, the day to go to Australia was close. This was a
big chance for me to go to another country and it was also my first time
to go abroad. I still remembered last night I had been too excited to sleep.
I brought not only my heavy packages but also carried cares of my family
by plane from Kaohsiung to Taipei and then to the destination, Australia.
By the way, it was also my first time to have meal on the plane. After
a long flight about nine hours to Brisbane, the first mind which ran into
my brain was that I didn’t want to take any plane to return my country
again because I didn’t want to experience it one more time.
However, it was very lucky for us to meet a tour guide who could speak
our mother language when we just arrived at the airport and felt confused
about the process of immigration. By the help of the tour guide, we entered
the lobby of the airport faster than we had thought. After that, we not
only took lots of pictures but also saw a man made a proposal during the
time that we waited for the other team from China arriving in and took
the same bus to UQ. It was very romantic and left a deep impression on
me from then on.
It was the time for us to seek for our parents of home stay as soon as
we got off the bus in UQ. In my case, my mother of home stay, Sally, was
Indonesians. Compared with the other team members coming with me, I
didn’t have any other person to live together except Sally because her
husband worked in Mideast and her three sons were old enough to work
outside for their lives then. By this special chance, I not only had lots
of time to practice my speaking skill but also learned many different
cultures in my home stay. By the way, the luckiest thing I had was that
I lived much nearer than the other team members so I could go to school
on foot and save lots of money on transportation very day. After finishing
the trip and coming back to my mother country, I felt I became healthier
than before because of the regular exercise for five weeks.
When it comes to the first day to go to ICTE, it was also the first time
for me to adapt the climate in Australia so it took me a lot of time to
choose which clothes was suitable. In this case, it didn’t leave me enough
time to make my hair look good. However, Sally drove me to school this
morning because she worried that I still hadn’t remembered the way to
walk to school. After making sure our names at the hall of ICTE, the school
took pictures for us and put it on our own student ID cards as our figures.
Unfortunately, my hair was not very tidy when I was taken my own pictures.
After that, we took an exam in the auditorium to classify which level we
were. The exam had four parts, including reading, writing, listening and
speaking. To me, speaking was the most difficult part of all because I
seldom had enough courage to communicate with foreigners in Taiwan.
Although I had known we would have a big exam before my summer vacation
starting, I still felt very nervous when I was taking the exam. After
experiencing the horrified exam, the school was so thoughtful that it
arranged a short bus tour for the freshmen to appreciate the beautiful
views in Brisbane.
In my first class at ICTE, I made many new friends from different countries,
including Taiwan, Russia, Japan, China, Korea, Chile, Saudi Arabia and
Italian. During the conversation with them, I not only knew more about
themselves but also learned many different cultures. To me, people from
Saudi Arabia were the most difficult one to communicate with. It was not
because of their thinking but because of their special accents. It was
too quick and connected to tell what they were talking about so I always
worried to have the speaking test with them.
Something special was the way of teaching at ICTE because it was very
different from Taiwan’s. There, every classroom only had one door and
the number of students was kept about twenty for each room. In a small
scale of group, teachers always encouraged us to share our thinking even
though we didn’t use the correct grammars so I gradually had enough
courage and opened my mind to let other people know what I was thinking
about. After the lessons of five weeks, I felt that I didn’t scare to
talk with foreigners any more.
Speaking of the way I went to school every day in Australia, it was a little
similar to one in Taiwan. It also took me about thirty minutes to go to
school but I needed to walk there by myself not by motorcycle. To me, it
was a big exercise on first week but gradually it didn’t like that anymore.
Something Strange to me was that motorcycles were very difficult to see
on the road there because the scare of the land was too large. In this
case, almost everyone had their own cars. Speaking of the bus there, it
was not only very expensive for me to take a bus to pass one zone but also
very difficult to tell where I should get off because everywhere just
looked like the same.
However, compared the life in Australia with my mother country, the prices
of most stuff were much higher than Taiwan’s so I usually hesitated about
what I should buy. Surprisingly, the price of the milk was much lower than
Taiwan’s because there kept much more cows than we did. The Australian
milk tasted a little different from what I had drunk before but I also
like the special flavor, too.
During the short weekends, I visited many different places, including the
Mt. Coo-tha, the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, the China Town, the South Bank,
the Lone Pine Koala Sancyuary, the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, the
Toowong Village and the Gold Coast. At these places, I experienced many
different things. Take the Lone Pine Koala Sancyuary for examples, I not
only saw many animals which we couldn’t see in Taiwan but also touched
these animals without any distances. Compared to the zoos in Taiwan,
visitors couldn’t fulfill the dream. However, in the Mt. Cootha and at
the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, I saw much different type of plants and some
old Japanese buildings. It was a big garden and I found out my interests
about photographing during visiting there so I took many pictures of
flowers as memory.
The Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and the Toowong Village were big
departments near my home. I usually spent a lot of time looking around
there because they were too large to visit all of them at a time. There,
I not only saw many beautiful clothes and special products but also bought
some bread as my breakfast and some TimTam, my souvenirs. Timtam is a tasty
cookie which is only produced in Australia. People only could buy it in
few shops in Taiwan. On the other hand, the China Town was a place full
of Chinese people and dishes. I found lots of Taiwanese food in the
supermarket there, too. Although Chinese people could solve their
homesick by tasting these delicious food but the price was two or three
times higher than our country’s. The last but not the least, the Gold
Coast was the most beautiful and the most impressive site where I hadn’t
been before. The water was very clear and the sand was very small. With
the tide moving, the sand and water became a wonderful picture. I talked
to myself that if I had a chance, I would like to visit the Gold Coast
again.
After five weeks staying in Australia, I felt my English skills improved.
Compared with the first week, my brain was going to stop after
communicating with a lot of people in English. I deeply hoped to seek
somebody to chat with my mother language because I couldn’t express my
feeling well in English. The situation seemed like I had a mouth but I
couldn’t speak anything through it. With the time flying, I gradually
adjusted the differences and broke the obstacles. In this case, I
understood more about the cultures in Australia. One of different
conceptions in Australia left the deepest impression on me was about the
difference between toast and bread. To my original mind, toast just liked
bread but it was in the shape of cuboids and usually was shaved into pieces.
After Sally’s explanation, I finally understood that toast needed to be
passed through the toaster. If it didn’t do like that, it would still
be called bread even though it had the same shape with toast. No wonder
during the conversation about the topic, Sally had a strange expression
on her face.
When I went back to the airport which I came from Taiwan in Australia,
I felt a little sad because I had many great memories there even though
I only stayed in Australia for five weeks. After finishing the Australian
trip, it not only made my summer vacation special but also opened my mind
to see one thing with different angles. I promised to myself that I would
keep the memories and the friends I made there in my mind for a long time.

剛開始進這間學校時，就知道有學文學海這些東西，但是那時我認為怎麼可能真
的會送學生出國，而且還不用出錢，所以一直沒有很在意這件事。到了下學期，
那時符合的名單出來了，我真的相信自己有機會可以出國遊學。雖然在申請的途
中，常常被一大堆突然冒出規定弄得糊塗，但最後還是順利的申請通過。
七月二十一號，我們準備啟程到澳洲，先從高雄轉機到台北，再搭八個小時的飛
機，終於，我們抵達了布里斯本。下飛機時，已經是當地七月二十二號的早上十
點，接著，因為還要等其他團，我們直到十二點才出發往昆士蘭大學去見我們的
homestay family。那時真的很緊張，一直想著不知道我的 homestay family 會是怎
樣？在搭遊覽車去學校的途中，看著窗外的風景，覺得自己真的沒選錯地方，這
真是一個美麗的地方，光是城市就令人嘆為觀止，當然還有這裡新鮮的空氣，感
覺人的變得健康起來了。過了四十幾分鐘，總算見的了我的 home pa，那時也才
發現，原來我們有另一個團員，是要住在他女兒家的，所以也就一起載走。到了
homestay，吃完午餐，整理完東西，這時，home pa 去接了另一個寄宿生，從日
本來的，沒記錯的話，好像才高中。之後又過了一下子，忽然來好多人來。原來
當天我 home pa 和 home ma 的其中三個女兒和女婿帶著小孩來家裡吃下午茶，
聊聊天。我的 home family 有四個女兒，其中三個都住在布里斯本，只有一個住
在雪梨，所以只見過一次，在他們家族中，都是女兒和孫女，目前為止，只有一
個孫子，這讓我很驚訝。
隔天，第一次搭公車去學校，很怕迷路，儘管 home father 已經告訴我該搭哪號
車，到了學校之後，根本不知道東西南北，雖然有地圖，但還是茫然，只好問人。
在走一段路之後，總算到了 ICTE 的 building 了，門口排了一長串的人，等著領
資料。領完資料、聽完說明會，開始了分班考，本來以為會很難，但看到考卷時，
還有點傻眼，因為比我想像的簡單。到了下午，學校說要帶我們去逛 city，不幸
地，我和幾位團員錯過了接駁車，只好待在學校晃晃。當搭公車回家時，才知道，
並不是每一輛 428 都可以到我家，這讓剛開始澳洲生活的我有點囧，都要碰運氣，
才可以搭到直達到家的公車，當然，後來也慢慢了解當地的公車時刻表。
在學校第二天，我被編到了 5 Orange，我的老師 Rosie 是個非常 nice 的人，還有
我們那班來自世界各地的同學，有韓國、日本、智利、哥倫比亞、沙烏地阿拉伯、
巴西來的，不過，那班最多的是台灣人，包括我就四個。我的英文並沒有說得很
好，而且在講英文時也常常當機，幸好，他們都會包容我。在這邊真的覺得很輕
鬆，大家並不像在上課，每次到教室就是開始聊天，開始上課後還是繼續討論課
程主題，整天下來就是不停地在對話，不像在華人國家，是一直在聽老師講，同
學在下面發呆。
來到澳洲，當然不只是上課，最重要的是觀光。從第一個禮拜開始，每個周末我
們都安排了活動，而且 ICTE 也會提供一些行程或旅遊資訊，甚至是比外面更便
宜的門票，讓我們方便不少。布里斯本是以他的野生動物出名的，所以第一個周
末，我們去了以無尾熊出名的 Lone Pine，在那裏我們除了跟無尾熊合照外，還
到處去和袋鼠自拍，在那邊袋鼠都是在草原上趴趴走，而且真的覺得袋鼠的坐姿
超優雅的，整個就是淑女一個。在 Lone Pine 也可以看到其他澳洲動物，那些動
物也謀殺我不少相機容量。那禮拜除了去 Lone Pine，我們還搭 City Cat 去 City，
感受一下城市的氣氛，我們大家住的地方都有點算郊區，以我住的家舉例，出來
就是一排的樹，然後每間房子都是木屋，感覺在那邊就像在度假，真的很讚。而
City 的對面，跨過大橋，就是 South Bank，那裏有兩間著名的博物館，一個是藝
術，另一個是科學的，而且科學博物館還是免錢的，我們當然也就進去逛逛囉。
在接下來的幾個周末，還去了 Gold Coast、Sunshine Coast、Australia Zoo、Sea World
和 Sunny Bank。來布里斯本，沒去 Gold Coast 就等於沒來過，雖然是冬天，但
是在沙灘上還是一大堆人在那做日光浴和游泳，我們也都玩瘋了，互相把對方拉
到海中，搞得全身衣服濕透，而且我還沒帶衣服換，晚上我們便再給背包客的旅
館住下，隔天出發到 Sea World。澳洲除了 Gold Coast 外，還有另一個當地人都
介紹的 Sunshine Coast，我個人認為那裏的海灘比 Gold Coast 更令人讚嘆。在最
後一個禮拜，我們去了 Sunny Bank，這個區域都是住著華人，其中台灣人占大
多數，所以在那邊，商店的招牌很多都寫著中文，也可以在那邊吃一些台灣的小
吃和食物，不過荷包一定要滿滿，那邊的物價真的不是開玩笑的。
在澳洲的最後一天，考完試之後，ICTE 也準備一個 Party 來歡送學生，當天準備
了一堆食物，也有頒獎和表演，就像是畢業典禮一樣，大家真的都很不捨，雖然
僅相處了五個禮拜。晚上，我們便踏上返回台灣的旅程，晚上十一點，正式告別
了澳洲。這真的是一個難得的體驗，第一次自己出國，第一次認識了這麼多不同
國籍的人，第一次用英文處理生活大小事，我永遠都不會忘記的，如果還有機會，
我還會想再來一次。

It was great to have an opportunity to have study tour in Australia. I was
so excited, because it was first time that I went abroad without my family.
On 21 July, I started my trip with my classmates. We spent 8 hours taking
plane to Brisbane. It was a long trip for me on the airplane, I could not
sleep. When we arrived, it was around 10 am. Then someone took us to
UQ to meet our own homestay. That night, I also met my roommate.
My home dad and mom, Richard and Megan, are friendly and hospitable.
They were also patient to listen what I said with my poor English. They
have four daughters, four granddaughters, and a grandson. It is a huge
family, they often come to Richard and Megan’s house to have afternoon
tea.
Next day, I went to UQ by bus myself. I felt nervous, because I was afraid
of losing my way. The first day in ICTE-UQ, we has an exam to know our
level. Second day, I was in 5 Orange. My teacher, Rosie, is a kind person,
and so are my classmates in 5 Orange. They all came different countries,
including Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and the
thing was interesting that there were many Taiwanese in my class. The
class here was great, because I had never had experience like these. The
students in the class usually learn something new in discussions. It was
totally different from Taiwan. I also learned different cultures in this time.
Apart from school, I spent my weekend sightseeing. I had been to Lone
Pine, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Sea World, Australia Zoo,
Sunny Bank, and South Bank. In Lone Pine and Australia Zoo, we saw
many native Australian animals, and took photo with koalas and
kangaroos. Although it was winter, the degree in Brisbane was under 10
℃,we still went to the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast to play with
water. It was crazy. When we went to Gold Coast, it was a special
experience to stay at the hotel for backpacker. Next day, we got to Sea
World, there was a Sponge Bob’s show. It was fantastic. Many Taiwanese
live in Sunny Bank, so we can have conversation in Chinese there. There
is much Chinese food, but it is so expensive than other places.
The weather in Australia was very cold, and I couldn’t adapt at first.
Gradually, I was use to the weather there, but I still wore thick coats. The
things in Australia are very expensive except milk and toast. The cheapest
toast just cost a dollar, and milk is cheaper than water. Sometimes, there is
free sausage in UQ, so we often eat that.
The last day in Australia, ICTE prepared the farewell party after test.
There are also performances, like graduation. Everyone felt sad, though
we just got along in five weeks. At night, we embarked on a journey back
to Taiwan. At 11 p.m., we said ‘good bye’ to Brisbane. It is really a rare
experience, I will never forget that. If I have chance, I also want to do it
again.

在進入義守大學之前，就知道我的入學成績能夠申請學海獎學金，但原本以為
申請門檻會很高或是需要通過另外的考試，也從來沒有想過會在求學期間出國，
因此對於學海獎學金並沒有抱著太大的期望。直到下學期被通知了已經通過學海
獎學金的申請，才恍然大悟，原來一切都是真的，卻感覺那麼的不真實，像是作
夢一樣。
在出國前幾個禮拜開始感到很緊張，一是擔心自己看到外國人會一句話都說不
出來，因為從來沒有接觸過全英的環境，從小到大讀的英文也都是為了考試而準
備，幾乎不曾使用日常英語會話；二是深怕自己會浪費了這個機會，覺得自己應
該要在出國前再多增強英語能力，畢竟這是多麼難得的機會……但實際上都與我
想像的不同，只是自己嚇自己罷了。
七月二十一號，我們晚上十一點在小港機場搭上飛機，前往桃園國際機場轉機
往澳洲。從台灣到澳洲約莫是八個小時的飛機，終於，我們抵達了布里斯本。下
飛機時，已經是當地七月二十二號的早上十點。稍微等候了一陣子，就搭上遊覽
上出發到昆士蘭大學，在搭遊覽車去學校的途中，看著窗外的風景，覺得自己真
的沒選錯地方，這真是一個美麗的地方，路很大條也很平坦，房子也都很大，新
鮮的空氣，悠哉的氣息，就和電視上的、想像中的一樣。
下車後看到的許多殷殷期盼的白人臉孔，他們是 Homestay keeper，各自認領
了自己的學生後就各自帶走了，我也找到了我的 Homestay mom，他的名字是
Danelle，看起來很慈祥，一見到我就笑的很燦爛。坐上她的車後，就是第一個
挑戰了…用英文介紹自己、問問題、聊天，一切都有點尷尬，因為總覺得自己英
文不好，不常說也不敢說，而且我還不適應所以話很少。但是我很感謝的是，
Danelle 一直告訴我，我的英文是不錯的，想努力的試圖去表達是很重要的，而
她也會配合我的程度，說話變的比較清楚也比較慢。過了半小時到了 Edenbrook，
Danelle 就住在這個區域。Danelle 的家很大很乾淨很舒適(聽其他同學描述，每
個人的家都很大很大)，有一個智利的女生也和我一樣是寄宿學生，Danelle 還有
一個 30 歲的兒子 Josh，是個十分幽默風趣的人。
隔天是第一次搭車到學校，很怕迷路，儘管 Danelle 已經很盡力的解說讓我理
解。搭車去學校(公車轉搭火車再轉搭公車)約莫須一個小時，一路上風光明媚，
也發現其實亞洲人的面孔也不少。有趣的是走在路上，經過的人幾乎都面帶微
笑，甚至跟我說聲早安，美好的一天就從這聲早安開始。
第一天以考試來分班，我被分到 LEVEL 4 RED，有聽說讀寫部分。考卷比想
像中簡單，就像台灣的國中生程度。一個班級都大約 15 個人，而我們班上的同
學來自各個國家，台灣、日本、泰國、中國、韓國、義大利、沙烏地阿拉伯，一
開始雖然陌生又尷尬，但大家都是特地來學英文的，所以大多都會嘗試發言。經
不斷的練習下大家都可以自在的聊天，而且被分在同一個等級，大家的英文能力
其實差不多，所以比較不會有壓力，能自在的聊天，比手畫腳、畫圖、甚至一起
拿翻譯機查字，過程中很快樂，也認識了很多朋友。在學校裡每個禮拜一到五都
要上課，從早上九點到下午四點，老師都是白人，上課都講英文，上課方式大多
都很有趣，會常常 CUE 學生回答問題或對談，我最喜歡的是導師 James 的課，
他是一個幽默風趣又不拘小節的老師。English all day 真的很累，一下課如果非
必要就不想再講英文消耗腦力 XD
除了上學，週末的活動更是我們期待的，澳洲正以野生動物出名，而布里斯本
更值得去的就是 Gold coast 黃金海岸，所以我們去了以無尾熊聞名的 LONE PINE
龍柏動物園，在那裏我們除了跟無尾熊合照外，還到處去和袋鼠自拍，好多好多
袋鼠在草原上跑來跳去的，他們都不怕生，有的還很優雅的躺在草地上曬太陽，
我們一直拍照像極了觀光客。我們也去 Gold coast，雖然在澳洲是冬天，仍然很
多人躺在沙灘上曬太陽，我們也不甘示弱的衝進海裡玩水，互相把對方拉進海
中，現在想想真是瘋了，因為真的冷到凍僵了。我特別最印象深刻的是 Australia
Zoo，那是鱷魚先生史蒂芬經營的動物園，從小就看動物星球頻道，特別欣賞史
蒂芬先生的勇敢，沒想到我能來到他的動物園，真是令我欣喜若狂。
在這五個禮拜中，唯一放假的就是 EKKA 節日。這是一個有趣的節日，所有
布里斯本的郊區的農林漁牧業者都帶著他們維生的”工具”(例如家畜:牛羊雞狗
豬，打鐵的工具……)聚集到布里斯本的市區展覽，讓居住在市區的人們能認識
這些動物和他們淳樸的生活方式。
在澳洲的這五個禮拜我好快樂，我也更想念的是與 Danelle 相處的時光，他就
像是我的媽媽，對我無微不至的照顧，我最喜歡他每天給我的擁抱，溫暖又真摯。
這像是我人生的一大轉捩點，我開始對未來有了不同的規劃，也結交了許多外國
的朋友，至今仍有在連絡，甚至有朝一日他們會到台灣來玩，這真是一種難得的
緣分。而在英文能力的增進方面，五個禮拜確實能增長的有限，更重要的是我對
英文的熱忱增加了，不知道有沒有進步 只覺得看到外國人就想上前攀談幾句，
不再害怕說英文了，其實英文不是不好 只是不敢說。我在未來的計畫中添加了”
澳洲”這一站，我好感謝義守大學給我了這個機會。

I was very lucky to get this opportunity to go abroad and the place was
in Australia which was one of my favorite countries. I was very nervous
and excited, because this was my first time to go to English-speaking
country.
Couple months before I went to Australia, I had started studied some
English conversation for preparation, because I seldom spoke English in
my daily life and I only studied English for test not for conversation.
0n 21th July, l started my trip with some of my classmates. We had
spent almost 10 hours from Kaohsiung to Brisbane. It was hard for me to
sleep on airplane. Finally, we arrived in Australia at 10a.m.. Then, UQ had
assigned bus to catch us to meet our own home stay family. When we
left airport, we deeply felt the cold weather. It was a big change for us,
because Taiwan was summer then.
On the bus, I watched out of the window and I found out everything
excited me, all are fresh, beautiful and different for me. When we got UQ,
my home stay mom had got there already. Her name is Danelle. She
looked a nice person , and actually she really is. That night, I also met my
roommate, Patricia. She is from Chile, a open-minded girl with
beautiful smile. Josh is the son of Danelle ,who is also a interesting guy
so that there was always laughter around the house.
The next day, I went to UQ by bus and train myself. It took me about
one hour to get UQ. I was so nervous that I might get lost. The first day,
we were classified by our grades of tests. I was in 4 RED. My teacher,
James, is a humored and charming man. There were 15 persons in my
class. They came from different countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Korea,
Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Italy. It was interesting because I had
never experienced like that. We have many opportunities to express our
ideas and discussed in a group so as to improve our English skill.
Besides school, sightseeing is absolutely necessary. During these five
weeks, I had been to Lone Pine, the Gold Coast, Sea World, Australia Zoo
and South Bank. In Lone Pine and Australia Zoo, we saw many native
Australian animals, and took many photos with koalas and kangaroos.
The second weekend, we went to the Gold Coast. Although it was winter
then, we also rushed into the ocean. It was a crazy experience for us.
The things in Australia are very expensive except milk and toast. The
cheapest toast just costs one dollar, and milk is cheaper than water.
Everything there is about three times more expensive than in Taiwan.
The memory of this trip is my treasure . It can also be a landmark in
my life because it has changed my life. I have different plan about my life
in the future such as getting my Occupational Therapist license and work
in Australia . I will never forget everyone I met in Australia , includes “the
passionate me”.
澳洲昆士蘭大學遊學心得

非常感謝義守大學提供的學海助學獎學金，讓我有機會實現出國的夢想。其
實，一開始我不知道入學成績可以讓我豐富我的大學生活，是決定來讀義守候才
知道的，聽到學長出國的經驗，讓我非常雀躍，可以實現出國遊學的夢想。
在出國前幾個月，非常的緊張，全英的環境是我從來沒接觸過的，隨然從小
就有接觸英文課，但多半是為了升學而準備，日常的英文會話其實沒什麼機會練
習，光是想像就嚇死我，覺得我好像都不會，但其實都是自己嚇自己。
經過漫長的候機與搭飛機，總算到達布里斯本，是一切獨立自主的開始。沿
路的景色真的很美，外國的房子都比台灣漂亮，學校也很大，在校園內還可以看
到沙灘排球，在我們到達昆士蘭之前 HOME PA 跟 HOME MA 早已經到達學校，
準備接我們，心裡很緊張，準備要跟會講中文的同學們分開了，但讓我驚喜的是
我 HOME PA 是香港人，HOME MA 是菲律賓人，大家都是亞洲人有親近的感覺，
沿路上 HOME PA 有主動跟我說很多話，但我還不適應所以話很少，只知道我很
幸運每天晚上都可以吃到白飯。HOME PA 是個半退休的建築師，所以他們家是
自己設計的，我很幸運被安排在他們家房間最大的房間，房間內有浴室，還有整
片落地窗，坐落於小山丘上所以風景很好。家裡有養一隻貓，不怕生超愛撒嬌。
放完行李後，HOME PA 趁著開飯前帶我學怎麼看公車路線去學校去城市和
回家，不喜歡澳洲晚上的公車站牌，都沒燈光，路也都很暗，幾乎看不見站牌，
回到家吃完晚餐後就早早睡了，第一天到澳洲好累，睡了十個小時。
第一天考試考了聽說讀寫，被分到 LEVEL4 BLUE 班，班上同學有來自台灣、
日本、韓國、沙烏地阿拉伯跟智利的學生，一開始雖然陌生，但經不斷的練習下
大家都可以自在的聊天，一方面年齡相仿，另一方面既然分在同一個等級，那大
家的英文能力其實差不多，所以比較不會有壓力，能自在的聊天，比手畫腳、畫
圖、甚至一起拿翻譯機查字，過程中很快樂，也認識了很多朋友。
在學校裡我們禮拜一到五都要上課，學習英文的基本技巧聽、說、讀、寫，還有
兩堂選修課，我選了 learning English through songs 和 Accademic，唱歌那堂課就
是在快樂的學英文，老師會讓我們現聽一兩次之後填空格，訓練聽力跟文法，再
來會一起對答案跟解釋一些單字，還有會有幾道會話的題目跟同學聊天，最後老
師或許會彈吉他，全班在一起唱歌到下課；相較之下 Accademic 是比較深的課程，
主要是教我們文書方面的格式和書寫。
到澳洲遊學當然不只有上課，周末的活動也是很重要的，ICTE 有一個活動的
部門，不只每周有行程可以隨團報名參加，也提供很多旅遊資訊，讓我們也可以
自行規畫周末。第一個禮拜我們就計劃去 Lone Pine，完成小時候的夢想，去跟
無尾熊抱抱拍照，還有跟好多的袋鼠合照，很壯觀那裏是一大片的草原，時間到
後全部放出來，就在你的四周，可以餵他跟他拍照，他們都不怕生，有的還很優
雅的躺在草地上曬太陽，隔天我們搭 City Cat 去 South Bank，City Cat 是遊艇，算
是大眾運輸的一種，沿路的風景很漂亮，還可以看到沿著河岸的別墅，有私人碼
頭自己的船，還可以看到有名的地標，故事橋和布里斯本之輪，South Banks 那
裏有人工海灘，小攤販賣些小東西，還有美術館跟博物館，進去不用錢，是和周
末去晃晃，South Bank 對面是 City 那裏是購物天堂，也可以買到紀念品。
接下來是 Gold Coast 兩天一日遊，來到布里斯本必去之地，雖然澳洲是冬天
但我們仍然去衝浪者天堂，而且還去玩水，這是我第一次下海水玩水，我們幾個
很瘋狂的決定把身體都弄濕，為了不留下遺憾，雖然都沒帶衣服，天氣很冷，還
是下去玩了，晚上我們住背包客住的民宿，沒想到浴室是共用的，沒踢工毛巾之
類的物品，是這一次大大的失算，因為在台灣沒有這方面的經驗，以為都會提供，
其實他只是一個便宜睡覺的地方。
之後還去了 Sunny Bank、Australia Zoo、Sea World 是一個中國城，很多亞洲
人開的店，還可以聽到台灣的流行歌，在那裏所有台灣小吃都是台灣的四五倍，
所以很聰明的我選越南菜，至少吃異國料理不會覺得太貴；Australia Zoo 是鱷魚
先生他們家的東物園，看到了很多動物的表演，園區也可以跟動物近距離拍照，
我就有和小鱷魚拍照，是難得的體驗；Sea World 是一個主題樂園，有看到海豚
秀，還有海棉寶寶的表演，還有一些遊樂設施。
我的 Home stay 家庭對我很好，有帶我去參加澳洲朋友的生日 BBQ，體驗澳
洲當地生活，也自己開車帶我跟另一個日本室友去布里斯本植物園，那天是日本
人的聚會，有茶道和插花的表演，也是我 Home pa home ma 的約會聖地，下午
我們還去了 bistro 是一個海灘，那裡風景優美，home pa 還請我們吃套餐。禮拜
六早上他們會去傳統市場，因為我還沒有吃過傳統的鹹派，所以特地帶我跟室友
去逛逛市場，並買鹹派給我們當早餐。
在澳洲這五個禮拜當中唯一的放假是 EKKA 節，而且只有在布里斯本這地
方，當天不上班不上課，EKKA 的會場，有一些農場的動物會被運去那裡展覽表
演，牛、羊、豬...都會有很多品種可以讓你認識，令我印象深刻的是草莓冰淇淋、
鬼屋…
在澳洲這五週很快樂，交到許都外國朋友，口說跟聽力都大大有進步，很喜
歡 ICTE 小班制的教學，這樣的環境學習英文比較有效率，要用英文與人溝通，
而且只有英文是你與同學的共通語言，在外面買東西，問路…其實沒有想像中可
怕，只要敢開口就行了。最後要準備回來台灣，一方面很開心，一方面會不捨澳
洲的一切，最後一天狂拍照，並互留下聯絡方式，這是難得的緣分，所以都有跟
同學們保持聯絡，這是我第一次自己離開家出國加上要五個禮拜，雖然澳洲的生
活環境很好，但還是會想念自己的家人和食物，飛奔回來。

Angela, came from Philippine. And they told me, I was lucky because they have rice
almost every night. Also my room was the biggest one in their house. After put off
my packages, my home pa taught me how to take bus to somewhere. They were all
kind to me.
First day, I took bus by myself. Although I had got little lost, everything was okay,
because, I followed foreign students to same building. We had a test to know our
level and I was assigned to level 4 blue. My classmates come from many countries,
such as Japan, Korea, Chile, Saudi-Arabia and Taiwan. I like our class everyone was
kind and we have same goal that we want to improve our English. Therefore, we
practice a lot and volunteer to teach each other.
We have to go to school on weekdays, therefore, we made good use of
weekends. We have been to Lone Pine, the Gold Coast, Sea World, Australia Zoo,
Sunny Bank, and South Bank.
In Lone Pine, I came true my dream. I hugged koala and took picture with it.
Afternoon, we went to a hill and lot of kangaroos on there. We can get close to them,
feed them and take pictures with them.
We took many hours to get Gold Coast. Although it was winter in Australia, we
still play in water. All of us did not want to regret one day. We were cold but happy.
We stay in hotel of backpackers. It was a special for us, it did not similar as what we
expected, the room only beds. And we had to go outside to take a shower without
shampoo, body wash and towel.
The most impressed me was the night view, I can see lots of stars in the sky. It
was hard to see in the Taiwan. The most special thing was that my home stay family
took me to join Australia Birthday BBQ. We went to a park to celebrate a friend’s
birthday. Each person prepared a dish at home and brought to there. That day I ate
many special dishes, stake and sausage.
In the last week in Australia, I wrote post cards and sent to Taiwan. We took
pictures with others to memory and we exchanged contact information. On the last
day, ICTE-UQ placed a party for us. Five weeks was short, some classmates have to
continue their courses. We felt dismay to say good-bye. At 11:00 p.m., we left
Brisbane where is a fantastic place. If I have chance, I want to go there again.
學海昆士蘭大學團心得

這五個禮拜共三十五天對我來說像是經歷了一場充滿刺激的冒險，在這當中發生的林林總
總都還栩栩如生的印在我的腦海，能到澳洲遊學給自己一個很棒的成年禮，我不斷的嘗試新的
東西，像海綿般吸收來自不同文化的經驗和交流，這些激盪出精彩且從未有過的人生歷練，使
我心胸與眼光更寬廣更自信，原本不安與恐懼的心情因為有同伴認識新朋友而漸漸平穩，儘管
只有短短一段時間，但心靈的感受是充足、溫暖的，獨立、自主、勇氣在無形中茁壯，我所獲
得的無法用任何有形的東西來衡量，我一點也沒有後悔當初來這裡的決定，接下來我就分享那
段時間所發生的點點滴滴……
第一週
一個人帶著行李箱坐火車再轉乘捷運到達小港機場，搭著名叫第一次出國的飛機，飛機上
升與下降對於第一次搭乘的我來說十分的恐怖，但看著窗外夜晚的美麗景色，這份害怕的心情
漸漸的被轉移了，在長達將近 10 小時的飛行時間終於抵達目的地─布里斯本，在好心的台灣
旅遊團的導遊指導下順利的出海關，看到西方的面孔這才意識到我已經離開台灣了!!
到機場迎接我們的是一位女士和可愛的公車司機，我們與從澳門來的學生一起到學校，看
著同學們一個一個被寄宿家庭接回去，而我卻沒有人來接我，原來我的寄宿家庭臨時有事情不
能來，不過最後還是順利到了我的 homestay,the Smart Family 還跟一位日本的同學當室友，
我們相處得很融洽。
到學校的第一天，進行一個能力的測驗，接著大家一起迷路，只能說國外的路長的很像，
根據考試的結果我被分到 general English grade 5 的 purple 班，在這個班級居然有五位台
灣人!真是他鄉遇故知，其他的還有來自日本、韓國、泰國、義大利、西班牙、智利、哥倫比
亞、中國等同學，我們相處的十分的愉快，有些人到現在都還有再聯絡，其中日本的同學在寒
假時預計要來台灣玩呢!
第一個周末我們去 lonepine 動物園，在那裏看到了無尾熊和袋鼠，當然還有其他動物，
他們都是可以摸的喔!我還餵了袋鼠，他們實在是太可愛了，還有鳥類餵食，一整群鳥從樹上
飛下來覓食，那場景不是壯觀兩個字能形容的了，還好小鳥們沒有把排泄物滴在我身上，也看
了綿羊秀，雖然在台灣的清境農場就能看到，不過在澳洲看別有一番滋味，畢竟這裡是綿羊的
故鄉。
星期日我們到布里斯本市區逛大街，還搭了 city cat 是當地的渡輪，在陽光下迎著風一
邊欣賞河岸旁的風景，真是人生的一大享受，途中遇到不少小孩子穿著超人的服裝和家人出來
野餐，除了這些戶外活動之外也到了美術館去參觀。
第二週
平日都是在 ICTE 上課，我們也有幾堂課是可以自由選擇的，比如電影英文、進階單字、
學術英文、商業英文……等等還有對雅思考試的課程等等，這些多元又有趣的英文課程讓我學
到更多東西，也認識到更多來自不同地方的同學，在某堂課中，老師要我們上台介紹自己國家
的觀光景點，這也算是一種外交吧!我和另外一位來自東吳大學的同學介紹了日月潭，第一次
用英語在台上報告是一個挺特別的經驗，這比用中文上台報告還緊張啊!不過其實沒我想像中
的恐怖，反而在當中感到樂趣，這樣的機會在台灣可以說是少之又少呢!
我的 homestay family 對我極好，使用 Wifi 不用多收費用，也可以自己攜帶午餐到學校，
還提供轉接插頭、公車卡，當我和室友在上學途中迷路還載我們去學校，實在很感謝他們對我
的照顧，家中有三位小男孩，他們都在學校踢足球、生活無憂無慮充滿笑容，大部分有其他的
同學或是朋友在放學後到家裡玩，熱鬧極了，反觀我們台灣的小孩，放學就是往安親班、補習
班、才藝班跑，有很大的差距。
假日依然是出外遊玩的好日子，這次我們到 city hall,city garden,southbank 等，當然
拍了不少照片啦!風景宜人、天氣晴朗來形容再適合不過了，散發著悠閒的氣息，在 southbank
有市集讓我們逛，不少有特色的商品，街頭藝人的表演是少不了的!在傍晚時分，夕陽奪目阿!
有市民帶著哈士奇出來散步，他們好大隻都可以坐上去騎了而且乖乖的讓我們拍照喔!碰巧遇
到一對新人在拍婚紗照，真是幸運!
隔天我們就衝到 Zone 20 幾的陽光海岸，但火車在某個路段維修，所以我們只好提前幾站
下車轉搭接駁車再接公車，花了三個多小時才抵達目的地!勇氣和膽量在這個時候發揮強大的
作用，還好有同伴一起行動，陽光、沙灘、猛男!!!這裡的海水好清澈，看著當地人穿著清涼，
而我們幾個依然著長袖、長褲，有點格格不入但真的很冷，這裡清晨可是少於攝氏 10 度的說，
當然對我們來說還沒有這個能耐穿著清涼的衣服來海邊玩，那天回到家都快 10 點了，晚上一
個人從公車站走回家事件令人害怕的事，一路上我都是快走甚至是用跑的，結果我著涼然後感
冒發燒了，開始我兩週悲慘的生活。
第三週
國外的醫療制度跟台灣不一樣，不太敢輕易的去看醫生，不過 home 媽有給我藥，加上爸
爸的朋友住在布里斯本，替我拿了幾件的保暖的衣服，超感動的耶!，加上我自己也有到藥局
買藥，不過花了將近台幣一千塊，在學校方面為了響應奧運，於是舉辦了小型的運動會，看著
大家愛國的精神，在臉上塗上國旗、披著國旗、參加各種比賽，為自己的國家爭光，當然我們
也不遑多讓囉!在競賽上，我只能說韓國人太厲害了，贏得很多面金牌，而且他們很敢玩，是
一群很有趣的人，回到台灣才發現我上了 ICTE-UQ 運動會的視頻，嘿嘿!
來這裡就是要瘋狂的玩，就算是掛著病號也要玩得過癮，我們到黃金海岸然後在背包客棧
待了一晚，這次旅遊的距離比陽光海岸短，大概花了兩個小時到達目的地，白天到海灘上玩水、
曬太陽、欣賞帥哥與美女，但我只能採水，然後到商場逛逛，晚上我們還自己煮義大利麵來吃
喔!他們還玩了撞球，我則是打打桌球，隔天他們說要去 movie world 玩，我和一位同學因為
不太敢玩刺激的遊樂器材，而且門票好貴將近台幣二千元再加上感冒，所以我們就去逛逛附近
的 shopping mall、吃了壽司，這邊的壽司真的好吃，只能說這是唯一我覺得好吃然後想再吃
的東西，還有這邊的薯條也特好吃分量很多，每天都肯吐司、吃義大利麵、肉排、生菜等等還
真不太習慣。
第四週
這週感冒症狀有比較改善，漸漸的也開始習慣這裡的生活步調，也在學校的課程得到很大
的收穫，在澳洲的遊學生活即將進入尾聲，在最後一週會有一個測試，看我們這段時間在學習
上有無進步，在口試的部分是在第四週進行測驗，要跟班上的一位同學選擇要互相分享的主題，
來進行對話，我是與來自義大利的 chiara 搭配，她在大學的通識課程有學過中文喔，是個很
漂亮又很高的女生，不過她有口音有時候會聽不太清楚她表達了什麼，不過正好可以訓練我的
聽力，緊張是難免的可是我大致上表現得不錯。
我在假日和室友去看小朋友的足球比賽，他們真是太可愛了、天真好動的健康寶寶，小小
的身軀互相爭奪球，還有許多狗兒在場外曬日光浴，我還和一隻黃金獵犬玩了起來，只能說這
裡沒流浪的動物什麼的，大家都很愛護動物。
來澳洲除了看袋鼠、無尾熊之外，當然不能錯過賞鯨豚!於是我們乘著大船到了一個小島，
因為當地的公車班次很少，我們至少要等個兩個小時才有公車，結果遇到好心的老爺爺載我們
一程，到了 main beach 依然採水、在沙灘上找貝殼、畫畫寫字、追海鳥，很幸運的居然有看
到海豚耶還有貌似鯨魚的身影，心情十分的高亢，晚上回到 southbank 我們班上的同學要一
起烤肉，晚上的昆士蘭河十分的美麗，在這良辰美景中，大家一起開心的吃東西、聊天、拍照，
融入在這麼和樂的氛圍，在澳洲的最後一個週末就這麼結束了。
第五週
終於來到最後一個禮拜了，是考試週也是購買紀念品週，很想把整個澳洲帶回台灣和家人
朋友分享，但這是不可能的事，所以只好買些有紀念性的東西帶回家囉!巧克力是少不了的，
其他還有綿羊油、皮夾、星巴克的城市隨行杯、無尾熊與袋鼠的紀念品等等，可以說是滿載而
歸阿，homestay family 也送我一個很可愛的鱷魚鑰匙圈和卡片呢!我覺得他們對我很照顧，
讓我有家的感覺，晚餐幾乎是 home 爸負責準備的，一定會有白酒，在餐桌上互相分享今天發
生的事，有幾次一起唱歌，以增進彼此的感情，使我感受到這麼溫馨的家庭，像在我家就沒有
這樣的習慣，很榮幸有這個機會能和他們認識與相處，在充滿依依不捨的心情中，告別了
homestay family、同學、昆士蘭大學、布里斯本，在最後一天 ICTE 為我們這些學生們準備了
例行的 BBQ 餐會，大家在草地上圍成一圈聊天吃著豐盛的午餐，一起拍照、擁抱，我們幾個女
生還忍不住哭了起來，大家在這裡有了太多美好的回憶，也交到很多朋友，在離情依依下為這
次的海外遊學畫下完美的句點。

The five weeks totally thirty-five days like experiencing an exciting adventure which is still vivid
in my mind. Going to study in Australia gave me a great gift like an adult ceremony. During these
days, I constantly try new things, as a sponge, absorbing from different cultural experience and
knowledge. It brought me the wonderful life experience that I have never had before and it also let
my mind with the broader vision and more confident.
It was always uneasy with fear and nervous however meeting new friends and learning the live
here helped me forget that kind of feelings. Although being in Australia only a short period of time,
my heart filled with warmth, independence, courage and so on, I could not use anything tangible to
describe it virtually! I do not regret to make the decision going to study in Australia.
This is my first time overseas. Taking airplane is a little scary for me and the long flight make me
feel tired. When I arrived at the Brisbane airport, all of the bad emotions disappeared. Instead, I felt
so excited. Finally I met my homestay family, the Smarts. They were very nice to me. Moreover I had
a lovely roommate from Japan. On the first school day, we had a test and the school could put us to
suitable class according the grades. I was put at general English grade 5.
I love my class very much because we had great teachers and friendly classmates. I was always
happy with them and also learned a lot from them. There were some optional lessons that we could
choose and I met more students. We did a lot of discussion based not only courses but also
interests. We usually had lunch, go shopping together after class. On the last weekend, we had a
glorious BBQ at southbank. It was a special and wonderful night. Even now I come back to Taiwan, I
still keep in touch with them although we come from different country.
We all studied at ICTE UQ. The school held a small lympic. There were many competitions.
Contestants did their best in order to get the gold medal and honor not only themselves but also
their country. One the last day, they prepared big BBQ for us. There was much delicious food.
Everybody sit in a circle and chatted cheerfully. After lunch ,we watched some people dancing and
took picture with friends. Made a good end of this five-weeks course.
I went many places like Lone Pine Park, Brisbane city, sunshine coast, gold coast, Stradbroke
Island and so on. I really enjoyed the life in Australia. In Lone Pine Park, we saw lots of animals such
as kangaroos, koalas, birds, and sheep ect. I also fed the kangaroos. They were so closed to people.
Buying the souvenirs in Brisbane City is one of my favorite activities. I could image my friends and
families get my gift with happy faces when they receive my gifts. At sunshine and gold coast, we
played water, walked and drew something on the beach, ate delicious food, went shopping at local
shopping mall. There were so many people at the beach and they took sunbath or swam in the
water. The scenery is so beautiful. I was so lucky to see the dolphins and whales on Stadbroke Island,
although they were far away from us.
Unfortunately, I caught a cold on the third week. Homestay mom gave me some medicine and I
took a rest at home one day. My father’s friend who lives in Brisbane brought me some warm
clothes. I was thanks to everyone because they helped me a lot. My homestay family usually had a
small talk at dinner time. Sometimes they even sang happily together. On one Saturday, my
roommate and I went to see the boys‘ soccer games. The children were so active , naive and cute.
They did well on the game so the father bought Mcdonalds for dinner as encourage. I was pleasure
to live with a warm family.

澳洲-昆士蘭大學

中文心得:
一開始學校通知我可以參加學海的時候，還有點不敢相信，幾乎免費
的欸！有４間學校可以選，只有昆士蘭大學是待５個禮拜，而且離市
中心近，所以我很希望我能夠被選上，呼～倒數第二個選重，超開心！！
能夠有學校提供的機會讓我去澳洲遊學，真的很開心。英文不但有進
步，也認識了很多人，各個國家，各種文化。
要去之前其實還滿緊張的，因為是住在寄宿家庭，不知道自己會遇到
什麼樣的繼續家庭，而且去那１～５都是要上課的！很幸運的，我的
ｈｏｍｅ爸、ｈｏｍｅ媽人非常的好，我還有一個日本的室友！我也
遇到了一位非常棒的老師Ｔａｎｊａ，他最常講的話就是：把字典收
起來，用你萬能的大腦，不然就把白板筆插到你的鼻孔！
再去澳洲前，查了很多有關學校的資料，還有昆士蘭的資料，可是發
現去那裏好像沒什麼用處．．因為真正遇到的問題，還有需要的資訊
好像要到那裏才會知道！
做了９個小時的飛機，終於到澳洲了！一下飛機就有一位看起很和藹
的女老師，也就是學校負責辦理遊學的負責人在那等我們，還有一位
搞笑的司機，每個人都說澳洲很冷，可是沒感覺啊！！其實我們忘了
我們都還待在機場裡面，一走出機場，那冷風襲擊到我們穿著單薄衣
服的身上，哇～～～大家都大叫：好冷啊！！！但是整個感覺還是很
棒，雖然冷了點，但是還是很喜歡！我們坐著巴士到學校，ｈｏｍｅ
ｓｔａｙ的人都在學校等我們，真的很緊張！我的ｈｏｍｅ媽Ｐａｍ
帶著我的日本室友一起來接我，看到他們很開心，而且還有個室友，
一上車ｈｏｍｅ媽就要我系上安全帶，雖然我坐在後座！有那麼點不
習慣，因為安全帶的方向跟我們相反。
那五個禮拜，過得很充實！雖然一開始常常迷路，他們的公車不會提
醒你到哪一站了，所以晚上看不見外面的時候，真的不知道自己在哪
裡，有一次放學跟我是有憶起回家每天下課沒有閒著，每個假日也沒
有閒著！第一個假日我們去了ｃｉｔｙ還有動物園，去那裏印象最深
刻的事情就是什麼事都要自己規劃，這真的很考驗我們，但是真的是
一個很棒很棒的經驗！！而我印象最深刻的就是ｓｔｒａｄｅｂｒ
ｏｋｅ ｉｓｌａｎｄ那裏真的是人間天堂，觀光客不像黃金海岸那
麼多，但真的好美好喜歡。
真的很喜歡那裡，用講的永遠講不完，有機會真的要去一趟，時間夠
久，做什麼事都要自己規劃，英文真的進步神速！！！
英文心得：
I am very happy that my university gave me a chance to go to Australia
almost for free ! I was very nervous before I went to OZ(Australia),cause I
don’t what kind of homestay family I will meet. After 9 hours flight, we
arrived. A lots of people said that OZ is very cold, but I didn’t feel that, I
forgot that I was in the airport, we waited all the international arrived,
we went out, everybody screamed : it’s freezing !! Although I was cold
there but I love OZ. cold.dry, not like Taiwan, hot and humid. Then
shuttle bus took us to our school, cause all our homestay were waiting
there. That’s the first time I met Pam(my homestay mom)she looks so
kind, and with my Japanese roommate.
Then Pam drived us home. The first thing surprised me was my homestay
have 4 car and one of them is Porsche. it’s very tired to have such a long
flight, so after a short sleep. Pam showed my Japanese roommate(Shina)
the way to Bus Stop, that’s very far away from my homestay, about 15
mins walk. But the view is very beautiful, although it’s long I felt very
happy to walk. Then Pam brought us to 7-11. We bought Go-Card there.
We need to us that to take bus.train.citycat there. It’s very convenient
but that’s very expensive. Coz international student only can use adult
card, we can’t buy concession card.
On the first day at school, I was a little bit nervous to know lots of
students from different countries. We went to an auditory and saw many
teachers in front of us. They introduced themselves and told us
something we needed to notice. After that, we had the little test. It
decided that you were in which class. I was in 4 Orange .
I felt tired first week there, so I went to bad very early and it was very
cold there, so the best way to keep warm is eat and sleep. I gained
weight after I go back to Taiwan. I love the food there, and Pam is a good
cook, she always cook a lot of delicious food for us.
I really miss my teacher Tanja !!! she is a funny.great teacher, she doesn’t
like us using translator in her class, or she will say I will stick the pen in
yours nose, and she always use game that all the class interesting, not
boring.
The most incredible I went was strokebroke island that is the place like
paradise, everybody go to gold coast when they visit Australia, but
strokebroke is such a breathing place, that I had never met. We took Red
Cat Boat to there, that’s a big Boat can take not only people but also cars,
and there is a Café on that boat, when we arrived there, we found that
they only have 1 bus in 2 hours, so we missed the bus and we had to
wait for about 2 hours, when we was walk around, one old man saw us
disappointed so he asked us if we missed the bus, he is glad to drive us
to the place we want to go(point look-out). He is so nice, we can believe
that we can take the car for free, what more lucky is that on our way to
point look-out we saw kangaroo. Not in the zoo that’s a wild alive
kagaroo! If I have chance I really want to live there and live in Brisbane
city.live in strokebroke island.
Now I have to study hard to improve my English. My abilitly.
I will go back !!!

這次很開心能夠參加 2012 學海遊學澳洲昆士蘭大學團，一直以來對英文很
有興趣，很希望能夠去英語系國家讓自己英文更進步、拓展視野，大一時就想要
報學海，但卻不太清楚報名資格，後來就沒有報名，大二時在報名截止日期前幾
天才匆匆忙忙的繳交報名資料，之後考試也很緊張，抱著有上就該慶幸的心情去
考試，沒想到成績出來，很不敢相信自己考試成績是第一名，選學校也如願以償
的選到了自己想要的昆士蘭大學。
做了八個多小時的飛機終於抵達布里斯本，下飛機後天氣很好，昆士蘭大學
的人來接我們去學校，一路上看著窗外心情很平靜，到了學校寄宿家庭的人早已
經在那邊等很久了，下車時心情才開始緊張，不知道自己寄宿家庭的人如何，後
來是寄宿家庭的姐姐來接我回家，他是個很親切的姐姐，到家後他簡單介紹家裡
和環境以及其他的事情，寄宿家庭裡除了我以外還有一個日本室友，他也剛到沒
多久，和我一樣要待五個禮拜，隔天早上寄宿家庭的姐姐帶我們去坐公車，到學
校第一天是大會考，考聽說讀寫要分班，隔天就會知道自己被發到哪一班。
澳洲是靠左行駛，雖然我不會覺得不習慣，但方向感卻變得很差，常常搞不
清楚方向，剛到澳洲的前幾天幾乎每天都在迷路，第一天自己搭車回家，每條路、
每個房子看起來都差不多，我就不知道要在哪一站下車，結果就坐過站迷路了，
那時候天色越來越暗，公車又一直繼續開，車上的人一個一個下車都沒人了，超
緊張的，後來就去問公車司機，公車司機人很好，還借我手機打回去給我宿寄家
庭的人，最後下車搭反方向的公車回去才順利回家，回家後發現我的日本室友也
迷路了，我到家他還沒回到家，等他也回到家後，我們就一起吃晚餐、聊天，之
後回家都很擔心，很怕又會迷路，特別是晚上天色變暗，坐在公車裡看窗外根本
都看不太清楚，所以都要很注意、小心。
我的寄宿家庭裡有爸爸、媽媽、和姐姐，我剛到澳洲的前兩天因為 home 媽
有事不在家，所以由姐姐來照顧我們，後來 home 媽回來，home 姐就出差去別
地方工作了，所以平常家裡就只有 home 爸、home 媽、日本室友和我，我們家
比較特別，因為 home 媽不是當地澳洲人，所以他煮的晚餐都很中式料理，有飯、
菜，也會吃湯麵、義大利麵，有時候 home 媽也會自己做 pizza 給我們吃，吃得
都很健康、很好吃，晚餐後 home 媽也會和我們聊天，聊我們今天在學校發生的
事情，或是和我們分享他以前的故事，home 爸雖然平常和我們比較沒什麼互動，
也不會和我們一起吃飯，但他的人其實很好，還記得有一次我出去玩回來，結果
臉被曬傷了，home 爸知道還到院子裡採了一條新鮮的蘆薈給我，讓我敷在臉上
比較快好，在最後兩個禮拜，home 媽的孫女來住，是一個三歲眼睛很大、很可
愛的小女孩，回家後都會陪他玩，他都會跟在我的後面走進我的房間看我在做什
麼，或是拿著我的保養品、護唇膏問那是什麼，有時候不理他或是不順他的意還
會生氣掉頭走去別地方，但過一陣子又好了，真的很好笑又很可愛。
我的日本室友是一個很活潑、很可愛的女生，比我大一歲，我們個性很合得
來，平常都一起搭公車上學，有聊不完的話題，因為都是亞洲人，很多生活習慣
或是經驗都會很相似，所以聊天起來特別親切，就會有很多事情可以互相分享、
互相了解，即使語言不通，但用英文溝通都能懂對方想表達的意思，我們都會分
享自己的一些經驗、以前的事、好笑的事或是自己國家的風俗習慣等等，有時候
他會教我一些簡單的日文，我也會教他簡單的中文，剛開始講話還會注意英文的
文法，但到後來其實就很自然的講出來，即使文法不對，但有單字揍在一起，我
們彼此都懂，默契也很好，到最後我有時候跟他講話還會很順口的不小心講成中
文，真的覺得自己很好笑，他的方向感比我好，會帶著我去坐公車，我們也會一
起搭別台公車研究回家的路線，在我要搭飛機回台灣的最後一天，他送我一個離
別禮物、還陪我一起去學校集合準備離開去機場，我很高興能認識他、和他當室
友，我們在同一個寄宿家庭一起生活五個禮拜，真的很開心也很快樂。
昆士蘭大學的校園很大很漂亮，平常星期一到星期五都要上課，班上有來自
不同國家的同學，老師上課會讓大家彼此有互動和交談來學習英文，以及上文法
課，很清楚的講解、造句、讓我們練習，也有選修課讓我們自己選要想要上什麼
樣的英文課程，雖然老師會要我們回家作業寫作文，但真得是很有幫助的，課堂
上老師會很清楚的告訴我們要怎麼寫作文還有一些要注意的小細節，也會給我們
作文範例做參考，所以回家寫就會有方向，寫完後交給老師會很用心的改作文，
並且給予很多很有用的建議及教導，這五個禮拜下來真的覺得作文進步很多，在
這裡認識了好多來自各地的朋友，真的很棒，最後一天大家都很捨不得對方，希
望有一天大家還能再相聚。
除了平常上課之外，下課後都會去逛一下超市或賣場採購、買東西，之後才
會回家，假日去了很多地方和景點玩，還記得有一次做了好久很遠的車才到海邊，
第一次看到澳洲的海灘真得好興奮，去過黃金海岸和陽光海岸，兩個都很漂亮、
各有特色，沙灘走起來沙子很白很細，海水很藍很清澈，整體看起來像一幅風景
畫一樣，也有住在背包客旅館體驗一下當背包客的感覺，還有搭船去一座小島，
因為錯過了往海邊的公車，我們第一次搭別人的便車去海邊，體會到澳洲人的友
善，那邊的沙灘不像黃金海岸和陽光海岸觀光客很多，那邊海邊幾乎沒有人，看
起來格外清靜，像是人間仙境一樣，海水也有各種不同顏色的層次，有淡藍色、
湖水藍、琥珀藍和翠玉的藍綠色，還能看到鯨魚浮出水面、海豚在海裡游泳不時
還會跳出水面，真得很漂亮。
這次在澳洲體驗了不一樣的生活與文化，和台灣平常過得生活完全不一樣，
每天心情很平靜、很悠哉，認識了好多來自不同國家的朋友，每天都過得很充實、
很快樂，在這裡不只學英文，也學會了自我獨立、自我管理，擺脫了以前的習慣
與依賴，在最後一天收拾行李時，感覺真的很惆悵，想著當初才第一天剛進來，
沒想到五個禮拜那麼快就過了，真的很捨不得，在這邊的一切從下飛機的那一刻
開始，踏上飛機的那一刻結束，就像是做了一場難忘的美夢，這趟旅程讓我拓展
視野、獲益良多，每個地方與場景、每位朋友、每個抱怨與感動、任何一段回憶，
都值得我懷念、想念，以及往後細細品嚐這些點點滴滴。
I am very happy that I have the opportunity to go abroad. I am interested in
English and hope that I can go to English-speaking countries in order to improve my
English abilities and broaden my horizons. I applied for the ISU scholarship of going
abroad. When I took the exam, I was very nervous. Afterward, knowing the result, I
just couldn’t believe that I got the first place in the exam, and then chose the
University of Queensland, which was what I wanted.
We’ve been to many famous attractions, beautiful beaches, and experienced
different culture and life in these marvelous five weeks.
On a sunny morning, my friends and I decided to go to the Gold Coast and
Movie World, which is so famous and popular that most people who come to
Brisbane go there. We got up early and took the train and then transferred to the bus
to the Gold Coast. It took about two hours. We booked a backpacker’s hostel in
Surfers Paradise in advance so that we didn’t need to go home in hurry and we could
stay at the Gold Coast for a night.
When we arrived at the Gold Coast, we went to the backpacker’s hostel to put
our luggage away. Later, we walked to the beach and had lunch on the way. When we
saw the beach, it was so spectacular and gorgeous. We spent the whole afternoon
there appreciating the wonderful beach, walking in the sand, and taking pictures.
While the sun was going down, we returned to the backpacker’s hostel and decided
to watch the sunrise the following day.
The next day, it was freezing cold in the morning. We woke up at four o’clock,
and then walked to the beach, waiting for the sunrise. Unfortunately, to our
disappointment, it was too cloudy to see the sunrise. We went back with reluctance,
packed our bags, and then headed for Movie World. At about ten o’clock, we went
into Movie World excitedly. We watched the 4D movie, went on roller coasters, and
saw the movie character parade. It was so amazing that I felt as if I were a child.
After these two unforgettable days, we left the Gold Coast and returned home.
This was the first time I had stayed in a backpacker’s hostel. While I was there, I saw
the awesome view of beach. We also experienced the exciting and speedy roller
coaster that I had never tried. What a memorable journey.
I had been living in Brisbane for five weeks. There are some differences
between Brisbane and my hometown, Kaohsiung. For example, life styles, eating
habits, and standard of life spending are totally different. I had to adjust myself to
this new environment. There are both positive and negative aspects of living in
Brisbane.
There are two main advantages of living here. First and foremost, the weather
is comfortable. It is pretty adaptable for people to stay in Brisbane, and even in
winter, except for morning and night, it is warm in the midday. At night, lots of stars
sparkle in the sky. The second reason is that there are many attractions we can visit,
such as the city and the nearby beach. So breathtaking are beaches like the Gold
Coast and Sunshine Coast that we can spend our whole day there.
In contrast, there are two main disadvantages of living in Brisbane. Firstly, the
cost of living is high. Everything there is much more expensive than my hometown.
Take dinning out for example, a hamburger there costs about NT150 to NT500.
However, I spend less than NT40 for a hamburger in Kaohsiung. The other drawback
is that the stores close very early. Many shops close at five o’clock in the afternoon.
Sometimes, when I want to buy some products, food, and go shopping, I had batter
go out early, or there is nothing for me.
To sum up, there are pros and cons of living in Brisbane. It is a wonderful place
for people to spend their lives there. However, before you decided to live in Brisbane,
you have to have enough money for your expenses. If so, you can live a happy and
awesome life in Australia.
This time, I experienced a diverse and new life style and culture in Australia. It
was totally different from the life that I used to be in Taiwan. Every day, I felt peaceful
and relaxed. I made many friends from different counties there. I lived a meaningful
and happy life in Australia every day. Not only did I lean English, but also I learned
how to be independent, organize my own time, and manage myself well. I got rid of
the previous habit and dependency. On the last day, while I was packing my luggage,
I felt sad because I couldn’t believe that time flew away very fast. I recalled the first
day when I had arrived. However, I had to leave now. Everything here began when I
got off the plane and ended when I got on the plane. It just seems that I had an
amazing and gorgeous dream. This marvelous trip made me broaden my horizons
and get a lot of unforgettable experience. Every place, scene, friend,
complaint, compliment, something touched, and every memory are all worth missing,
cherishing and memorizing.
