Solution Room

The Solution Room concept is one that allows WEC attendees the chance for
‘structured white space’. Throughout the conference, we’ll ask attendees for
feedback regarding which problems, challenges or questions they have pertaining to the different areas (currently in development) and then once in the Solution
Room, attendees will be able to decide, as a group, what they discuss and how.
We will provide the room, necessary equipment and facilitators but encourage
and empower attendees to take ownership in creating an atmosphere which will
help them achieve their desired results. This will allow for networking, making
new peer connections and the opportunity to spend a time slot sharing and feeding off of each other in a unique setting.

After a long day of education and networking, our attendees will take some
time to connect with their peers and share notes on the hottest sessions, topics
and speakers they experienced. They’ll meet each afternoon to review notes,
favorite quotes and key takeaways from their favorite sessions as well as those
sessions they weren’t able to attend. Attendees will be asked to cast their vote
for their favorite sessions that MPI will repeat the next day. You could provide
cutting-edge technology or just keep it simple and go ‘back to the basics’. Either
way, the daily download is on the schedule for Monday and Tuesday from
4:15pm – 5pm and on Sunday from 4:30 – 5:15pm. This room will be uniquely
set with lounge furniture, cocktail rounds and tallboys.

speaker do a “Part 2” to their WEC session or an award presentation to
recognize those that contributed to WEC 2011’s success, etc.

MPI Meeting Madness
$10,000
In an attempt to give chapters and event attendees more input into content sessions delivered at WEC 2011, we’ve designed the MPI Meeting Madness contest
and are reserving education session time slots for chapter-suggested education. The challenge is available to all 71 MPI Chapters. To enter the contest, Chapters
can submit their best education session(s) from the past year. MPI members will be prompted via email to log on to the WEC website to vote for their favorite session. The conclusion of the contest will yield the highest ranked sessions, and the winners will be featured in the WEC 2011 education session line-up.
Be the exclusive sponsor of MPI Meeting Madness, including the contest and all winning education sessions (4). Each chapter with a winning submission will receive a $500 education scholarship from the sponsor (included in the cost of sponsorship), and each planner’s vote will be entered into a drawing for one of three
prizes.*
*Prizes will be valued at $1,000, $700 and $300 and will be supplied by the sponsor (not included in the cost of sponsorship). Prizes can be secured by the sponsor through in-kind sponsorships (subject to MPI approval).

RISE Awards All-Attendee Luncheon

This annual awards program is a one hour presentation that will be held during MPI’s all-attendee lunch on Sunday, July 24, from 12:00pm 1:30pm, which will feature a plated lunch for approximately 2,200 attendees. Up to seven awards are given away to recognize achievements by individuals, communities and organizations. This calls for an elevated and unique/innovative atmosphere. You will have 15 minutes at the beginning of the lunch/award program to take the stage and talk
it up or just say a few short words. Sponsor will be able to attend and receive specific sponsor recognition signage at the awards ceremony.
