WWI Soldier’s Equipment
Use this information sheet to make notes on the type of
equipment that a soldier used in the trenches on the
Western Front and also carried into battle with him during
WWI. These notes will be useful for your trench letter.
When a British soldier went ‘over the top’ to attack the
enemy he had to carry all of this equipment through the mud,
barbed wires and crater holes made by mines. They had to
make sure that they did not get shot at the same time.
