Fog Data Services is an IoT software product that runs in the network
to transform raw data from sensors and endpoints into actionable
information. While critical, time-sensitive data is stored and analyzed at
the network edge, less time-sensitive data can go to the cloud for
long-term storage and historical analysis.
Using Fog Data Services, you can build scalable IoT solutions with
consistent APIs across a variety of ruggedized network devices and
endpoints. Developers use Fog Data Services through the familiar and
open Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE) and deploy to
IOx virtual machines running on devices in the fog.
