The Falk School Outstanding Alumni Award In honor of Falk’s 75th anniversary, the School of Education determined that the distinguished achievements of so many Falk graduates deserve a place of recognition within the annual School of Education Reception and Awards Ceremony. As with all School of Education awards, the criteria for this award requires that nominees have outstanding achievement, service, impact or contribution to the field of education and/or organizations that serve the public good. ANNOUNCING THE 2010 FALK SCHOOL OUTSTANDING ALUMNI AWARD RECIPIENT: SIGO FALK, CLASS OF 1946 Mr. Falk is an exemplary recipient. He is currently chairman of the Falk Foundation in Pittsburgh, PA. Previously, he has served as a board member of Duquesne Light Holdings, Inc., director of National Intergroup, Inc., and trustee of the McKee Income Realty Trust. He has been an active member of the Fanny Edel Falk School and the Pittsburgh communities for many years. Mr. Falk currently serves as vice chair of Chatham University, and is a trustee of the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh Symphony. He has served on numerous non‐profit boards, including among others, the Health Systems Agency of Southwestern Pennsylvania, the Allegheny Land Trust, and the Pittsburgh Child Guidance Center. Mr. Falk graduated from Fanny Edel Falk Laboratory School in 1946. He earned his B.A. degree from Harvard University and his MBA degree from Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
