This assignment is designed to not only examine your individual writing styles, but also expose
you to music that may be foreign to you. You are required to listen to a short list of songs and
choose ONE song to write about. Your task is to answer three (3) questions (including subquestions) using proper paragraphs for the piece of music that you have chosen:
1. What were your first impressions of the piece?
2. What types of guitars are used? Be as specific as possible (make, model, style, etc.) What
genre of music typically uses those types of guitars? This may require some research on
your part. What type of guitar would you buy yourself if money was not a factor? Why?
3. What techniques, effects and/or devices are used in the performance? How do they affect
the sound/style of the music? This may require some research on your part.
**Make sure that your paper contains the following**
a. Times New Roman, Double-spaced, 12pt font, page numbers
b. Three distinct paragraphs (each question needs a paragraph, include the question before the
response in bold)
c. Your name, teacher name, course code and date
d. Proper spelling and grammar.
