CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Career development is a lifelong process of
exploration grounded in self-reflection, research
and practical application. Students and alumni are
encouraged to engage with our office early and
often to discover who they are, what they are
interested in, and how to get there.
Career & Major Exploration
The career exploration process begins early in a
student’s college career. With support from
career counselors and academic advisors, students
connect their knowledge, interests, values and
abilities to majors and career opportunities.
Job & Internship Search
A well thought-out strategy is key to securing a job
or internship. Hiatt helps students and alumni to
strategize, identify industries of interest, craft
resumes and cover letters and develop key
communication skills for networking and
interviewing.
Graduate & Pre-Law Advising
Hiatt has a dedicated pre-law and graduate school
advisor who counsels students and alumni on the
decision-making and application process.
Alumni Services
Hiatt provides career services for life for all
undergraduate alumni, including one-on-one
advising, regional events, monthly career webinars
and online resources. Visit alumni.brandeis.edu/
careers.

Brandeis students and alumni can access 19,000
diverse job and internship postings annually
through Hiatt’s B.hired system and consortia
databases including the Liberal Arts Career
Network and the National Internship Consortium.
