 Wednesday Student Intervention
Goal: To have 80% of student at Level II Satisfactory Level and 25% at Level III Advanced level
in the 2016 STAAR Test.
Minutes:

Concerns with student data in grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
The proposal is to target Wednesday Interventions during early dismissal days. Students
in PreK – 2nd grade will be dismissed at 12:45 pm.
All students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th will stay at school on Wednesdays.
One of the questions was about the siblings in the primary grades that are not picked up
at 12:45pm on Wednesday. The solution is to have personnel stay with the late pick up
students.
According to our budget analyst, additional funding has been granted to the school
budget. The Elevated Program was not approved by the school board, therefore,
allowing additional funding for the schools to use for student interventions. The funding
is to be used for only for contracted services for interventions.
The SDMC unanimously approved for Wednesday Interventions that were proposed
(see attachment).
The SDMC will also be seeking a contracted service agencies.
