BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1.
Arkansas Code Title 17, Chapter 25, Subchapter 1 is amended
to add an additional section to read as follows:

17-25-107.
Fire sprinklers not required in home construction.

A state building code shall not include a requirement that fire
25
sprinklers be installed in:

(1)
A single family dwelling; or
27
(2)
A residential building that contains no more than two (2)
28
dwelling units.
