Release Notes Release Notes for SRP540 Series Services Ready Platforms Software Version 1.02.01 MR2 August 2011 These Release Notes describe the open and resolved issues with the SRP540 Series Services Ready Platforms (SRP541W, SRP546W, SRP547W) software version 1.02.01 MR2. Contents This document includes the following topics: • New Features • Open Issues • Resolved Issues • Related Information 1 Release Notes New Features The following new features and enhancements were added to software version 1.02.01: 2 • Enhanced monitoring of resources now ensures improved performance and reliability. • ADSL2 Annex M modulation is now automatically detected by using the "Multimode" modulation setting. • Destination IP Address or Subnet can now be used to classify traffic for QoS marking and scheduling. • DHCP Relay was added to the DHCP server feature, allowing addressing to be sourced from a remote server (This feature can only be used when NAT is disabled). • The TR-069 Download RPC can now be used to deliver an SRP500 XML configuration file. This feature effectively allows an ACS to provision SRP features not supported by TR-069. • The TR-098 PortMappingLeaseDuration parameter is now supported for TR-069 provisioning of IP and PPP connections. • Certificates can now be added to authenticate XML and TR-069 provisioning by using HTTPS. • Customer provided certificates can now be uploaded through the Configuration Utility, or from a USB memory device during initial automated provisioning. • Passwords can now be encrypted to secure XML configurations. • The XML provisioning interface can now be used to execute a Ping diagnostic from the SRP. Results of the test are made available in the XML Status file. • To allow configurations to be restored through XML, the Restore_Config tag is now supported. When set to TRUE, all preset multiple entry configurations are removed before applying the configuration file. If the tag is not present, or set to FALSE, then the configuration file is applied incrementally to the current running configuration. • The delete command is now supported for the SRP Defaults XML configuration parameter. Release Notes • SRP voice ports can now be provisioned in accordance with TR-104. • Selected OIDs from the ciscoWan3gMIB are now available through SNMP. • A TCP Dump diagnostic tool was added to capture traffic for offline analysis. • The following 3G mobile data network USB modems are now supported by the SRP540: - AnyData: ADU500A and ADU-510A - Huawei: E153, E160, E173, E177, K3765 and K4505 - Option: GI04613G (AT&T Velocity) - ZTE: MF180, MF190 and K3751-Z For a list of modems that are compatible with the SRP’s, see the “Mobile Broadband USB Modem Compatibility Matrix” located at: www.cisco.com/ go/srp500resources. Open Issues The following table lists the open issues in software version 1.02.01. Ref Number Description CSCth67844 The SRP cannot register to the proxy after bootup. This problem occurs if the SRP is using a proxy host name and SIP Transport is set to TCP or TLS on the Voice > Line > SIP Settings page. Workaround Either use UDP transport, or configure the proxy IP address rather than the hostname. CSCth79385 When receiving an incoming PSTN call to all lines, only Line 1 displays the correct caller ID. Workaround CSCth95057 None PSTN Hook State on the Voice > Info page is not synchronous with the FXO port’s actual state. Workaround None. 3 Release Notes Ref Number Description CSCti43756 The SRP does not allow multiple IPSec sessions from LAN clients to a common remote VPN server. Workaround CSCti44955 The FXS interface cannot send packets directly to the LAN side of the IP phone, resulting in one-way audio heard from the IP phone to the FXS interface. Workaround CSCti86429 None. Enable SIP ALG from the Network Setup > NAT> NAT Setting page. Voice settings are not included in SRP500 backup file (Administration > Backup and Restore). Workaround Save the voice settings as an XML file by downloading: http://<SRP_IP_Address>/admin/config.xml. CSCti89097 The SRP cannot ping to an IPSec tunnel remote network or traceroute from the Diagnostic > Ping Test page. Workaround CSCti89111 The IPSec remote policy information is incorrect on the Status > VPN Status page. Workaround CSCtj00512 Test the connectivity by using LAN clients. None. The SRP only responds with the last negotiated codec in the 200 OK message after the Broadworks application server sends an INVITE without SDP. This occurs when a user places a call from Broadworks User A to the SRP and attempts a blind transfer to Broadworks User B through the Broadworks Call Manager client. Workaround CSCtj02589 None. When a USB device is inserted into the SRP, the USB status shows as “disconnected” on the Administration > Log > Log Setting page. Workaround Reformat the flash drive by using the FAT32 File System. CSCtj13910 No audio occurs on devices making 3-way calls mixed on a BroadSoft conference bridge. Workaround CSCtj78120 When load balancing is enabled, the SRP cannot ping to a GRE tunnel or traceroute from the Diagnostics > Ping Test page in 3G mode. Workaround 4 None. None. Release Notes Ref Number Description CSCtj90020 When the Time Zone is configured as GMT+8:00 and "Auto Recovery After Reboot" is enabled, auto recovery fails after the SRP reboots. Workaround CSCtj98960 UPnP is not working properly on the WAN2 interface. Workaround CSCtk76420 None. When a PSTN call is established though the FXO port, the Line port light on the SRP is always off. Workaround CSCtl22363 None. None. After a reboot or a power cycle, the register message sent to the proxy is incorrect causing a register failure. The IP address in the VIA, CONTACT and CALL-ID header in the register message is 0.0.0.0, which does not match the SRP’s IP address. Note. Only SRP’s with an “Ethernet connection type” and PPPoE have this issue. Workaround CSCtl22370 None. After a reboot or a power cycle, the SRP cannot receive SIP messages resulting in a register failure. The FXS port sends a register message to the proxy who responds with “200 OK” but does not transfer this response back to the FXS port. Note. Only SRP’s with an “Ethernet connection type” and PPPoE have this issue. Workaround CSCtn91639 If the network disconnects and a PSTN call is placed, the call breaks when the network is recovered and the SIP lines re-register to the proxy. Workaround CSCtq34613 None. None. Access to the XML configuration is allowed with user credentials. The voice configuration limited to the admin can be seen by the user after entering the following URL: http://uut wan ip addr/admin/config.xml&xuser=cisco&xpassword=cisco Workaround None. 5 Release Notes Ref Number Description CSCtq83449 The SRP cannot retrieve the XML provisioning file from the TFTP server after a reboot. Note. This only occurs if the ADSL connection type is set to PPPoE. Workaround CSCtr30224 None. Fax tone detection sensitivity causes the SRP to detect the fax tone incorrectly during a normal call and then switch the initiated codec to the fax passthrough codec or T.38, thus causing the call to break. Workaround If the SRP is used as a voice gateway that does not support Fax Call, disable <FAX CNG Detect Enable> and <FAX V21 Detect Enable> from the Voice > Line page. CSCtr42703 DTMF sometimes can’t be sent from the SRP if the DTMF Tx Method is set to INFO on the Voice > Line page. Workaround CSCtr43240 When the DTMF Tx method is set to AVT, sometimes the SRP cannot detect the digit to send to the remote device. Workaround CSCtr46952 None. None. The SRP experiences wireless instability under heavy traffic loads. This can occur under certain environmental conditions such as interference on other 2.4GHz appliances and routers. Workaround Choose a different wireless channel from the Interface Setup > Wi-Fi Settings> Basic Wireless page. CSCtr63526 RIP values are not saved after modifying an interface from the RIP Config edit page. Workaround When enabling RIP, first enable the feature and then click Submit before changing the interface or network settings. CSCtr70108 After a reboot or a power cycle, the SRP cannot transfer the register message to the network although its lines still send out the register message. Note. This only occurs if the connection type is configured for DHCP. Workaround Set the registration retry timer <Reg Retry Intv) on the Voice > SIP > SIP Timer Values page to the default setting (30 seconds). 6 Release Notes Ref Number Description CSCtr72599 When SIP transport is set to TLS and the primary proxy is down, the SRP fails to register to the backup proxy. Workaround CSCtr92685 An existing customized application cannot be modified on the Network Setup > Firewall > Internet Access Control page. Workaround again. CSCtr92746 None. The SRP cannot send a multi-page fax to the SPA2102. Workaround CSCts01669 None. The SRP cannot receive a T.38 fax from a Cisco Gateway. Workaround CSCts01597 Delete the application from the Modify Application area and add it After running the Setup Wizard, the WAN2 Transmit and Receive packet count shows as zero on the Wizard Status > Statistics page. Workaround CSCtr97144 None. None. When <Echo canceller enable> is disabled, the SRP fails to send a G711u passthrough fax to a Cisco Gateway with v.17 modulation Workaround Enable <Echo canceller enable> from the Voice > Line > Auto Configuration page. CSCts11798 The L2TP connection on the WAN1 interface fails if both WAN 1 and WAN 2 interfaces are configured for L2TP and load balancing is enabled. Workaround CSCts12386 When the SRP’s lines are unregistered, the SRP’s FXS ports can still relay to FXO. However, If the remote device makes a PSTN call to the SRP, the ring tone is played on the SRP’s FXS ports but the call can’t be answered. Workaround CSCts12510 None. None. When the network is down, the SRP’s FXS ports can still relay to FXO. However, If the remote device makes a PSTN call to the SRP, no ring tone is played because the call can’t be routed to the SRP’s FXS ports. Workaround None. 7 Release Notes Resolved Issues These issues were resolved in software version 1.02.01. 8 Ref Number Description CSCth71061 TX (Transmit) byte and RX (Receive) byte statistics are not working properly on the VPN Status page. CSCti13854 GRE tunnel cannot reconnect after the Ethernet WAN interface is unplugged and then plugged-in again. CSCti17760 When a failover occurs from the primary WAN to the secondary WAN, and the new active WAN is configured as the default voice route, the SRP will not register to the proxy unless you reboot the voice module manually. CSCti20400 Some Line 3 and Line 4 voice settings cannot be updated after dialing *code on the SRP. CSCtj98958 UPnP Internet gateway is disabled if running on the WAN2 interface. CSCtk33953 After changing the Internet connection type to PPPoE mode, SIP messages cannot be routed to the network. CSCtk53421 The WPS light shows as “not lit” on the Setup Wizard Status page even though the WPS connection was successful. CSCtk66855 When WAN failover is enabled, the default voice route (primary WAN) will not failover to the next available WAN. CSCtk69417 The SRP does not relay unregistered or failed lines to the FXO interface. CSCtk93368 After editing the WLAN security settings from the Basic Wireless page, the WLAN is disabled. CSCtl01639 TR069 Connection Request/Inform failure with Motive HDM systems. CSCtl23765 The WLAN client cannot edit the wireless security settings after a module reset. CSCtl23790 The FXS line sometimes fails to register to a SIP server in PPPoE mode. CSCtn08108 When the SRP sends GetParameterValues for an object with 0 instances there is no response. Release Notes CSCtn08085 After receiving a Reboot RPC from the ACS server, the SRP does not terminate the session before executing the reboot.
