RAKE OUT 2013
The Westlake Community Center takes requests for yard raking and clean-up from Westlake senior
citizens and those who have physical disabilities. The Community Center requests the help of local
groups to assist in the clean-up of the yards. Our Key Club has been doing it for several years. It is
usually held in early November.
Our club has also worked on the Adopt-a-Family holiday project. We adopt a family in the Westlake
community that may have fallen under hard economic times and we try to alleviate the cost of the
holidays by providing with items on the family’s wish list. We did it for the first time last year and the
students went above and beyond providing for the family.
