EARTH DAY April 22nd is when the world celebrates Earth Day and people get involved in helping the environment. Earth Day began when people realized that it was time to start taking better care of the planet. It is a special day when everyone can help to make the planet a cleaner and better place to live. The first Earth Day was celebrated on April 22nd in 1970. In 1990 Canada joined the rest of the world to celebrate our special Earth that God has given to us to take care of. What will you do for the planet this Earth Day? School Council News! Lates Thank you to our School Council for hosting a great family movie night on March 6th. We had a lot of family join us that evening. School Council raised $300.65 on snack sales, which will be donated to ShareLife on behalf of the St. Maria Goretti Community. The Jazzy Jar Fundraiser was a lot of fun and we raised $734.34. Thank you for all of your support, once again. The next School Council Meeting is April 9th at 3:10 p.m. New members are always WELCOME!!! A number of our students continue to arrive late daily. Please make every effort to get your children to school on time. Late arrivals cause disruption to the other students and also to the teacher who may have begun his/her lessons for the day. Developing good work habits and time management skills can maximize a child’s learning potential. Let’s work together to develop these skills!
