Lance T. Funston Communication Center
at the
Jack J. Valenti School of Communication
Houston, September 20, 2010 – The renovation and expansion of the Lance T. Funston
Communication Center at the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication starts today and is
scheduled to be completed in May 2011. The project consists of a newly constructed media
studio at the northeast corner of the existing building, as well as a new entry, new building
façade, renovated first floor staff and faculty offices, new classrooms and media support facilities.
The project also includes new HVAC air handling equipment and life safety equipment.
