Although fireworks and Independence Day celebrations often go hand in hand, fireworks can be dangerous when used improperly, causing serious burn and eye injuries. That is why the UH Fire Marshal’s Office, along with the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, strongly recommend that people leave fireworks to the professionals.
