Houston, July 12, 2013 – UH Dining Services is proud to announce
the addition of Chef Michael Bargas to the team at the University

Bargas is a graduate of Princeton University where he not only
attained a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, but also developed a

After graduation, that passion led him to the Culinary Institute of

University in Pennsylvania where he earned an MBA.
Bargas most recently worked at the Art Institute of Houston serving as the academic director,
responsible for overseeing the culinary education of 750 students, and the direction of six staff

purchases, the classroom restaurant and the college deli.
Prior to his work at the Art Institute, he worked at one of Houston’s most venerable fine dining
restaurants, Masraff’s, as well as contracted food service locations at Memorial Hermann Hospital
