With a promising career and the respect of her colleagues, Jaime
Chason embodied success. But she wasn’t happy; something was
missing. Jaime longed to inspire kids through art. So she came to
USC, where she learned that art education is so much more than
arts and crafts projects: it’s about teaching critical thinking and
appreciating perspectives. “Culture provides a richness to the soul,”
she said. “I need my students to see that passion in me, my lessons
and the significance of what I teach.” Jaime discovered that true
success could be found within each of her students.
