(SIP and SPCP) • Added support for viewing a videocamera from the phone. (SIP and SPCP) Supported videocamera models are the Cisco PVC 2300 and the Cisco WVC 2300. Camera firmware version 1.1.1.4 and higher is required; consult the release notes for the camera. Videocameras are configured in the Web Administration Interface in the User tab. • Added support for macro expansion in Cisco XML requests. (SIP and SPCP) You can now use macro variables in XML URLs. The following macro variables are supported: - User ID—UID1, UID2, UID3, UID4, UID5 - Display name—DISPLAYNAME1, DISPLAYNAME2, DISPLAYNAME3, DISPLAYNAME4, DISPLAYNAME5 - Auth ID—AUTHID1, AUTHID2, AUTHID3, AUTHID4, AUTHID5 - Proxy—PROXY1, PROXY2, PROXY3, PROXY4, PROXY5 - MAC Address—MA - Product Name—PN - Product Series Number—PSN - Serial Number—SERIAL_NUMBER Release Notes Fixed Problems Since Firmware Release 7.3.5 (SIP) The following problems were fixed in this release: Identifier Summary CSCta73643 Headset goes offhook while using speaker. CSCtb30266 Echo heard when speakerphone is used. CSCtb38298 Dialing when phone is ringing brings up dial form that stays after call is picked up. CSCtc01587 After upgrading or downgrading with an existing download URL for the background picture the phone locks up. CSCtc43694 Phone plays extra hold tone while playing imusic/xmusic. CSCtc57108 WPS message unclear & grammar updates. CSCtc57618 “Restricted Number” not displayed for Connected Line Identification Restriction (CLR) scenario. CSCtc58122 The connect duration time displayed on the phone screen is doubled. CSCtc61651 When the ring tone is playing on an incoming call, changing the volume does not work. CSCtc61663 MP3 files are not verified before saving as a ring tone without being played first. CSCtc65318 When configuring WPS using the push button configuration, the “back” softkey does not go to the correct screen. CSCtc79746 BroadSoft Network Conference causing phone reboot and conference fail. CSCtc80099 BroadSoft XSI “department” search incorrect. CSCtc80124 BroadSoft XSI “extension” search missing field value. CSCtc81437 In the web interface, under Call Statistics, the Dec codec is always displayed as G711U. CSCtc88040 Default SSID should be cisco-voice. CSCtd07442 Wrong call history shown for a call that was picked up from a held shared call. CSCtd11007 After a few resync/reboots, socket connection closes. CSCtd35385 Incorrect reset behavior. Correct behavior: If Protect IVR Factory Reset is set to yes, and an administrative password is configured, you must enter the password before resetting. If Protect IVR Factory Reset is set to no, no password is required. CSCta73643 Headset goes offhook while using speaker. CSCta73702 Issue with DTMF tones with WebEx. Call disconnects after about 30 minutes. CSCta74344 In offhook/history dial, the screen does not display numbers oneby-one. CSCtb38298 Dialing when phone is ringing brings up dial form that stays after call is picked up. CSCtc03429 Phone doesn't play audio in VoiceView Express. CSCtc05304 When localized to German, the LCD shows a Euro in the softkeys. CSCtc11318 Softkey displays Euro symbols before the locale files are all downloaded. CSCtc46148 The ringer volume adjust tone is different from incoming ring tone. CSCtc46633 MWI LED does not blink when the second incoming call is dropped first. Release Notes Identifier Summary CSCtc57943 Phone downloads the same firmware after reset. CSCtc58030 Call Forward Always is displayed incorrectly. CSCtc58041 The incoming call display does not change after the call is answered remotely. CSCtc58054 Phone requests the wrong file name during auto upgrade. CSCtc58060 Factory reset of phone will not send SPCP unregister nor DHCP release packets. CSCtc58348 In SPCP mode, no network connection when playing a ring tone causes the phone to freeze. CSCtc62893 Headset LED doesn't light up - headset key pressed after dialing number. CSCtc62893 Headset LED doesn't light up when headset key pressed after dialing number. CSCtc65318 When configuring WPS using the push button configuration, the “back” softkey does not go to the correct screen. CSCtc68736 Dialing digits followed by # when on hook turns speaker on and dials number. CSCtc88040 Default SSID should be cisco-voice. CSCtc91872 Phone is stuck in live record after caller hangs up. CSCtd04629 Ringing on an incoming call was choppy. CSCtd04950 Cadence not consistent when using volume ringer switch. CSCtd04977 When dialing from history, the number shown on screen is incomplete. CSCtd13952 When changing the line ring tone, after reboot, the ring tone reverts to the default “chirp1” ring. CSCtd14780 Labeling a speed dial as “outgoing” causes the display to show “placed calls” instead of “outgoing.” Release Notes for the Cisco Small Business Pro IP Phone SPA 525G Firmware Version 7.4.3 5 Release Notes Known Issues CSCte03185—No audio sent or received when using MP3 as a ringtone in the directory. Issue: If you create a contact in the Personal Address Book and assign it a ringtone created from an MP3 file, when calls are made to the Cisco SPA 525G phone from that contact, no audio ringtone is heard. Workaround: Do not assign a ringtone created from an MP3 file to the contact. If the contact has an MP3-created ringtone, temporarily change it to one of the Classic or Simple ringtones. CSCtd69146—Videocamera viewing window exits and terminates call. Issue: If using the videocamera monitoring feature on the camera, sometimes the videocamera viewing window exits and existing calls are dropped after 15 to 30 minutes. Workaround: None. To access Bug Toolkit, you’ll need a Cisco.com user ID and password. 6 STEP 1 To access the Bug Toolkit, go to http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/ action.do?hdnAction=searchBugs. STEP 2 Log on with your Cisco.com user ID and password. STEP 3 To look for information about a specific problem, enter the bug ID number in the “Search for bug ID” field, then click Go. To get a list of problems for a specific product, select the product category and product from the drop-down list and click Search. Release Notes Installation Notes To install firmware for the Cisco IP Phone SPA 525G, follow these instructions. SIP Version STEP 1 Download the firmware from Cisco.com. Go to: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10499/index.html STEP 2 Click the Download Software link. STEP 3 Choose the correct software version. Download the zip file and unzip the .bin file to your PC. STEP 4 Obtain the IP address of your phone: a. On your phone, press the Setup button and select Status. b. Scroll to Network Status and press Select. Note the IP address. STEP 5 On your PC, open Internet Explorer. STEP 6 Enter the phone’s IP address in the browser’s toolbar. STEP 7 Choose the Firmware Upgrade tab. STEP 8 Click Firmware Upgrade Window. STEP 9 Browse to select the firmware file from your PC. Click Submit. The firmware is installed and your phone reboots. SPCP Version Firmware updates are done from the Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series.
