Oct. 19, 2009 It has come to our attention there are many rumors circulating about the great numbers of students out with the H1N1 virus. While we do have higher than normal absence rates for this time of year, our numbers are not atypical to what other school districts in Cuyahoga County are experiencing. At this time we have only a handful of confirmed H1N1 cases in our school district. We are in daily contact with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health and they have given no indication that we should close school. In fact, the Board of Health recommends we continue to follow CDC guidelines, which are posted on our web site. Any decision to close school will be made in concert with the Board of Health and you will be notified. Please continue to refer to our web site – www.wlake.org – for resources and accurate information.
