 SKYWARN Training Class February 17, 2012 2:00‐4:00PM UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY Come join the National Weather Service Office for Houston‐Galveston and the University of Houston Emergency Management for SkyWarn Weather Spotter Training. Come learn from a National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologist how to spot severe weather and report it. Skywarn spotters are a group of trained volunteers that watch the skies during severe weather and relay reports back to the local Emergency Management officials and the National Weather Service.
