Georges Vanier School Prayer
Lord, in the morning as we start this day,
We take a moment to bow and pray.
We start with thanks,
For all your kind and loving ways.
And now as we begin our day,
Watch over us as we work and play.
We ask you to help us respect and love one another,
And all we meet during the day.
Hold our families and school staff in your hands,
As we follow, in your commands.
Teach us to love you more than before,
Through random acts of love and kindness.
Guide us to be like Georges Vanier,
And make a difference by
Helping the poor, the needy, the sick and the homeless.
We ask this through Jesus, Our Lord.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank staff who have served in the Vanier Community over this past year(s) and
who will not be returning in the fall.
A BIG thank you to Mrs. Carvalho, Ms. Kent and Mr. D’Aversa. We wish them well in their future endeavours.
We want to thank Mr. Josefik and Mr. Leon for their supportive role in our school. We wish them well as they move to
other schools to assist in their roles as ERW’s.
We also want to wish Mrs. Cito-Frendo all the best as she moves on to a new position at Cardinal Newman School. Mrs.
Cito-Frendo has served as our school librarian as well as a lead staff member of our Breakfast Program and most recently
our Snack Program. All the best on your new adventure!

Bus stop information will be posted on the front window, of the
school, the week of August 31. Please check to see what stop
your child will be using. Over the summer months there can be
changes to stops as well as time changes for stops.
Please call the office if you need further assistance. The office
will be open starting August 31st for the new school year
start-up.
