These standards are incorporated throughout our day. Standards are always a part of our circle, craft and snack activities. Monday: Greeting & Planning Time: Changes, changes everywhere! List the changes we see outside during the season of Fall. What things don’t we think about too often and let’s add them to our WONDER WALL I wonder why the flowers in my garden are dying? I wonder where the birds go when it starts to get cold. I wonder why the leaves change colors. As we move through the week we will find the answers to our wonders. Work Time: Fall Placemats ~ beautiful new placemats with all of the fall colors in a pattern! Large Group/Language Activity: Where do you think the pumpkin is hiding? Is it under number 7? We will listen to the tape: Big Pumpkin while we follow along in the book. This story is a Halloween classic and a favorite of Ms. Donna’s and mine! After listening to the story, we will talk about the different characters in the book. How did you know the Mummy was a girl? What kind of voice did the vampire have? Each child will have the opportunity to reach in, pick an item, name the item and place it under the correct category of Fall or Halloween. We will count the items and graph which category has the most pictures.
