Student Perspective • Mr. Malek Khawam “Thank you so much for everything you've done this year. I do think that because of this class, I'll be ready for any college math class that I'll be taking in the next 4 years.” “Your class was one of the classes I looked forward to going to every day because I knew I was going to learn something.” “I am taking calc-based physics in college and I'm extremely thankful that I took your class. I use my notes from high school more than my notes this year.” “Thank you for your enthusiasm in teaching. I appreciate all the time you spent teaching us out of class as well. It made a difference for me.” “I appreciate the time and patience you spent with me.” KUDOS to you for touching the lives of your students and know that your dedication and hard work were truly noticed. You have helped me to foster an enormous interest in poetry. You have helped me change from the super awkward, wire-rim wearing freshman to the slightly less awkward poetry writing hipster of today. WHS, the students, parents and the community are very fortunate to have you teach our children. It means a lot to me to have a teacher who really cares about not only what is being taught, but about the students who learn it. Mr. Freeman is the best! He’s handsome, intelligent, and deserves a huge raise! Bravo for setting the expectations for your students high and never letting up until the end. Your class epitomizes what Westlake High School is all about…YOU educate for Excellence! As parents of a student who just finished 4 years at Westlake High School, a special Thank You to what has to be one of the best English Departments in the country. I have my first College Biology Exam tomorrow and I wanted to tell you that I feel pretty good about it, especially since I have the notes from your class last year! Your name was brought to our attention by one of your former students. Your dedication and commitment to excellence deserves recognition. QUESTIONS Departments, Teams, Clubs/Activities Cafeteria and Halls Refreshments provided by the Westlake High School PTSA! Thanks! See You at Orientation! There’s No Place Like Home!
