IPS-M-EL-190(0) FOREWORD The Iranian Petroleum Standards (IPS) reflect the views of the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum and are intended for use in the oil and gas production facilities, oil refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, gas handling and processing installations and other such facilities. IPS is based on internationally acceptable standards and includes selections from the items stipulated in the referenced standards. They are also supplemented by additional requirements and/or modifications based on the experience acquired by the Iranian Petroleum Industry and the local market availability. The options which are not specified in the text of the standards are itemized in data sheet/s, so that, the user can select his appropriate preferences therein. The IPS standards are therefore expected to be sufficiently flexible so that the users can adapt these standards to their requirements. However, they may not cover every requirement of each project. For such cases, an addendum to IPS Standard shall be prepared by the user which elaborates the particular requirements of the user. This addendum together with the relevant IPS shall form the job specification for the specific project or work. The IPS is reviewed and up-dated approximately every five years. Each standards are subject to amendment or withdrawal, if required, thus the latest edition of IPS shall be applicable The users of IPS are therefore requested to send their views and comments, including any addendum prepared for particular cases to the following address. The Electric Heat Tracing System shall be designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with the applicable requirements of latest edition of the following standards, stated in clause 2. ﺧﺪﻣﺎت ﭘﺸﺘﯿﺒﺎﻧﯽ ﺳﯿﺴﺘﻢﻫﺎي اﻟﮑﺘﺮﯾﮑﯽ ﮔﺮم ﮐﻨﻨﺪه ﮐﻪ .ﺗﻮﺳﻂ ﻓﺮوﺷﻨﺪه ﺗﻬﯿﻪ ﻣﯽﺷﻮد را ﭘﻮﺷﺶ ﻣﯽدﻫﺪ ﺳﯿﺴﺘﻢﻫﺎي اﻟﮑﺘﺮﯾﮑﯽ ﮔﺮم ﮐﻨﻨﺪه ﺑﺎﯾﺪ ﻃﺒﻖ اﻟﺰاﻣﺎت ﮐﺎرﺑﺮدي ﺳﺎﺧﺘﻪ و، ﻃﺮاﺣﯽ2 آﺧﺮﯾﻦ وﯾﺮاﯾﺶ اﺳﺘﺎﻧﺪاردﻫﺎي ذﯾﻞ ﺑﻨﺪ .آزﻣﺎﯾﺶ ﮔﺮدﻧﺪ ﺳﯿﺴﺘﻢﻫﺎي اﻟﮑﺘﺮﯾﮑﯽ ﮔﺮم ﮐﻨﻨﺪه ﺳﻄﺢ ﺑﻤﻨﻈﻮر ﺑﺮآورد :ﻧﻤﻮدن دو اﻟﺰام ﻣﺘﻤﺎﯾﺰ و ﻣﺸﺨﺺ ﻃﺮاﺣﯽ ﻣﯿﺸﻮﻧﺪ Electric Surface Heating (ESH) systems are designed to satisfy two distinct requirements: ﺣﻔﻆ دﻣﺎ2-1 1.2 Maintaining Temperature ﺣﻔﻆ دﻣﺎ ﻣﺴﺘﻠﺰم ﺗﺎﻣﯿﻦ ﺣﺮارت ﺳﻄﺢ در ﺣﺪ دﻣﺎي ﺳﻄﺢ ﻣﻮرد ﻧﯿﺎز ﮐﻪ ﻣﻌﺎدل ﻣﯿﺰان ﺣﺮارت ﺗﻠﻒ ﺷﺪه ﺑﺨﺎﻃﺮ اﺧﺘﻼف دﻣﺎي ﺳﻄﺢ و ﻣﺤﯿﻂ اﻃﺮاف آن در دﻣﺎي ﻣﻮرد ﻧﻈﺮ ﺳﻄﺢ . ﻣﯿﺒﺎﺷﺪ زﻣﺎن ﻣﻮرد ﻧﯿﺎز ﺑﺮاي دﺳﺖ ﯾﺎﺑﯽ ﺑﻪ دﻣﺎي ﻣﻄﻠﻮب از دﻣﺎي و اﯾﻨﮑﻪ ﻟﻮﻟﻪ ﯾﺎ ﻣﺨﺰن، ﭘﺎﺋﯿﻦ ﺗﺮ ﺑﺴﺘﮕﯽ ﺑﻪ دﻣﺎي ﻣﺤﯿﻂ در ﺷﺮاﯾﻂ ﺟﺎري ﻧﺒﻮدن، ﻗﺴﻤﺘﯽ ﭘﺮ و ﯾﺎ ﮐﺎﻣﻼ ﭘﺮ اﺳﺖ،ﺧﺎﻟﯽ .ﺳﯿﺎل وﺟﻮد دارد ﻣﺘﻐﯿﺮ اﺳﺖ Maintaining temperature requires the provision of heat to a surface equal to the rate of heat loss due to the temperature difference and its surrounding at the required surface temperature. Each power supply point, means of isolation, control equipment, junction box and each feeder or branch circuit should be legibly and durably marked to indicate its purpose. BS 6351: Part 3 sub-clause 11.2.2 gives a recommended basis for equipment and service identification. In addition, however, it is recommended that a further indicator be added to indicate the line or vessel being heated. The engraved marking and fixing should also be satisfactory for outdoor installation. These requirements are particularly important in saliferous atmospheres.
