December 2/3, 2006
Advent is a special season in the life of the
church. It is also a journey or pilgrimage we
undertake with Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.
The Bethlehem journey we now follow is a
pilgrimage into our own hearts, minds and souls.
When we arrive at our destination at Christmas
our lives and homes will be transformed by
Emmanuel: “God with us”.
GIVING TREE
The Giving Tree is up!!!! Please check the specific gift request
baskets regularly as these are the gifts asked for by our
families requiring assistance. New tags will arrive daily until
Dec. 2. The Giving Tree will remain up until Dec. 10th.
We ask that all gifts be brought back unwrapped with the tag
visibly attached, so that those who do the sorting of the gifts
will see quickly those important tags. As in previous years, gift
certificates from the City Center, H.M.V., Sears, Zellers,
Odeon Cineplex etc. are all very welcomed, as it helps us to
meet the needs of the person who is difficult to buy for.
(Please drop off gift certificates to the church office.)
