To support our continued growth we are seeking a driven, self‐motivated team player with a proven track record of formulation success and creativity from the personal care industry, who will be based at our head office in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing and working collaboratively with the entire Botaneco team, this full‐time role is primarily focused on enhancing corporate sales and marketing efforts by providing clients with unmatched service and solutions to accelerate product adoption. In addition, you will be responsible for contributing to the company’s success through the following: 










Utilize basic knowledge of cosmetic raw materials and oil body technology to compound proprietary Botaneco formulas Investigate, innovate and develop customer needs‐focused formulations using Botaneco ingredients Conduct physical measurements and maintain laboratory notebooks, experimental and physical stability study results and equipment logs Research and evaluation of customized formulations, developing into customer‐facing solutions Research new ingredients to complement Botaneco technology and stimulate client interest Gathering information on ingredients and formulas for the development of marketing resources Responsible for the coordination, schedule and on‐time completion of solution‐selling projects Communicate results of experiments and collected data, providing business driving recommendations Act as the technical lead to field and address client inquires in a timely, professional manner Maintain accurate records for patent and intellectual property rights Generate reports and documentation as required for internal decision‐making purposes We purify unique extracts from oilseeds that improve natural
Authenticity and performance of personal care products Attributes that are critical for this role include: 


Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or equivalent 2+ years formulation development experience, with personal care industry exposure preferred Experience in compounding cosmetic/OTC topical personal care formulas; familiarity with instrumentation/equipment commonly found in a cosmetics laboratory (i.e. pH meters, viscometers, and stability ovens) Basic analytical and problem solving skills; excellent observation skills with ability to recognize unexpected results; chemical and mathematical skills to create quantitative formula cards Demonstrated passion for formulating and proven creativity in formulation design Must work independently in a very fast pace environment and ability to multi‐task A high‐energy, self‐motivated, team player who aggressively drives to deliver results with minimal supervision Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and willing to work both independently and collaboratively towards achieving the goals of the organization Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer proficiency in Windows, MS Office and E‐mail 






