Dover Elementary was originally constructed in 1949 with an addition occurring in 1970. Structurally, the building has concrete block walls with a brick veneer. The floors are
slab-on-grade at the first floor and concrete deck on the second floor. The building shares a site with the Lee Burneson Middle School and the district’s administrative offices.
There is also a large athletic complex behind the middle school. Dover’s prorated acreage is 14.18 acres. 366 students are housed within Dover’s 43,671 square feet.
