World Religions Introductory Assignment
ONLINE DATABASES
Bible Master: Go to the St. Roch Library webpage, select Curriculum Links by Subject, click
into Religion, and then Bible Master, in the search section type in your topic to access
articles. (The Bible Master only provides information on Christian groups).
Catholic Encyclopedia: Go to the St. Roch Library webpage, select Curriculum Links by
Subject, click into Religion, and then Catholic Encyclopedia, in the search section type in
your topic to access articles. (The Catholic Encyclopedia only provides information on
Christian groups).
Canadian Encyclopedia: Go to the St. Roch Library webpage, select Curriculum Links by
Subject, click into General Reference, and then Canadian Encyclopedia, in the search
section, type in your topic to access information.
Infoplease Encyclopedia: Go to the St. Roch Library webpage, select Curriculum Links by
Subject, click into General Reference, and then Infoplease Encyclopedia, enter your topic in
the search section, and click into the articles provided to access your information.
Grolier Online: Go to the St. Roch Library webpage, click into Online Data-Bases, and then
Grolier Online, you will need our school’s user name and password, which can be found in
our school’s library brochure, and the passwords are also posted on the library wall in the
computer section of the library. Once you are logged into Grolier Online, type your topic into
the search section, choose the article that best helps you with your research.
Infotrac Student Edition: Go to the St. Roch Library webpage, click into Online Data-Bases,
and then Library e-Resources, select General (under Secondary Library), click into Student
Edition. Once you are logged in, type your topic in to the find section and click the search
button. Choose the articles that will best help you with your research.
Religion and Philosophy Collection: Go to the St. Roch Library webpage, click into Online
Data-Bases, and then Library e-Resources, select Subject Specific (under Secondary
Library), click into Religion and Philosophy. Log into Religion and Philosophy Collection, in
the find section, type in your topic, and select your articles.
E-BOOKS
E-Book Infobase: To access books online, go to the St. Roch Library webpage, click into
E-Books, and then Infobase eBooks, select the subject “Religion & Philosophy”, there are 16
online books, click into the book that relates to your topic.
*Start at the Table of Contents to select information pertaining to your research.
