INCLEMENT WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
Once again the prospect of inclement weather is upon us. Tom Howe, Manager of Student
Transportation, has attached a memo outlining different messages that we expect to be read over
the air by radio stations in the event of a cancellation. The greatest confusion occurs when the
transportation of certain geographic areas may be cancelled while buses are still running in the
areas of Brampton and Mississauga.
The purpose of this correspondence is to advise you of certain runs that do not fit into the
prescribed cancellations. For instance, in the event that “THE DUFFERIN-PEEL CATHOLIC
DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD BUSES AND THE PEEL DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD BUSES IN
THE TOWN OF CALEDON ARE CANCELLED” a list of runs that would be cancelled are attached.
If your school runs are affected, please advise the parents of these affected vehicles that no
service will be provided when they hear of that cancellation. If you have any questions or concerns
do not hesitate to contact your Transportation Area Officer.
