Dear Parents,
The first month of school has really flown by! Your children have been hard at work learning
our classroom routines and expectations. They have also been busy getting acquainted
with one another, making new friends and meeting the planning time teachers who
support our class.
Thank you to those families who were able to make it to our Open House and BBQ. It was a
wonderful opportunity to get to know you better!
Later this month we will be beginning our Snuggle Up and Read program. Books will be
sent home on a weekly basis for you to read and enjoy with your child. Further information
about this exciting new program will be sent home with your child at a later date.
Please check our classroom calendar as well as the school newsletter for other important
dates and events. Our classroom’s monthly calendars and newsletters are also posted on
the St. Nicholas school website. You can access it by going to
http://www.dpcdsb.org/NICHO. Click on the learning tab (at the top of the page), then
scroll down to classroom pages. Finally click on: Henderson & Raposo (which is a blue
hyperlink on the left side of the webpage). Also please check out our school’s twitter
account at @st_nicholas15 for other exciting news and events that are happening.
Thank you for your continued partnership!
~Ms. Henderson & Ms. Raposo
