For entry September 2015, NUI Galway will admit a number of A-Level students based upon their best 3 A-Levels. Applicants with 3 or more A-Levels are eligible for entry and may apply to any of the undergraduate degree courses offered by NUI Galway (with the exception of Medicine due to additional HPAT requirements) Approximately 200 places across more than 50 undergraduate degree courses will be made available to students sitting 3 (or more) A-Levels under the scheme. In addition to this, A-Level students will automatically be considered for entry onto undergraduate degree courses to which they have applied in the usual way, using the standard A-Level to Leaving Cert’ points’ conversion model. Entry requirements • A-Level Applicants must meet minimum grade requirements per course (refer to course detail and www.nuigalway.ie/alevelentryscheme) • Scheme quota places will be awarded to the A-Level students ranked highest, based on their best 3 A-Levels only • Applicants must meet the course matriculation requirements • Applicants must meet all other course specific requirements, e.g. minimum grade language requirement.
