This course may be used as an art credit toward the compulsory diploma requirements. It is
recommended that students will have taken the grade 10 photography course (AWQ2O), or have a
keen interest in and prior knowledge of photography. This course will further develop students'
photographic skills by concentrating on manual modes of shooting. Special attention will be given to
creating a portfolio of work to prepare for study at the post-secondary level. Students will explore
portrait and studio lighting, product and advertising photography and Adobe Photoshop CS5 in
greater depth.
Prerequisite: None (AWQ2O recommended)
