A Farewell Blessing
God is the source of all wisdom and knowledge.
Let us ask God to bless all who have reached the
conclusion of another school year of teaching and learning.
Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround us
with the mysteries of the universe. In times long
past you sent us your prophets to teach your laws
and to bear witness to your undying love. You sent
us your Son to teach us by word and example that
true wisdom comes from you alone.
We give you thanks and praise for guiding us through
this past school year, and for offering us the many
blessings of your love. Guide us through the summer
Holidays and lead us back with eagerness and enthusiasm
to another opportunity next September to devote ourselves
once again to our studies and to share with others the fruits of
our learning. Grant this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen

Dates To Remember
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
We extend our thanks to Ms. Kazimowicz, Superintendent of
Mississauga Brampton Central for her support throughout the
year. Mr. Ferreira, our trustee for his commitment to the St.
Julia community, and to Fr. Marc Andre for his guidance and
dedication to the students and staff.
As the school year comes to a close it gives us time to reflect
on all the wonderful things that have occurred during the
school year. Students have had many opportunities to share
their gifts and talents on school teams, intramurals, clubs,
Student Council, masses and Sacramental preparation. This
would not have been possible without the dedication of the
staff members who give so much of their time to see the
students excel in all areas. Their excellence and dedication to
provide a quality Catholic Education to our students is second
to none!
A special thank you to Ms. Charette and Ms. Fragomeni-Jones
for all their hard work, warm smile in the office and support. I
have greatly appreciated your commitment to our school.
Finally, thank you to each member of our school community
and volunteers for making our school a caring and supportive
enviornmnet. Thank you also to the Catholic School Council:
Ms. Kukolic, Mr. Cinapri, Mr. De Souza, Mr. Lawrence,
Ms.Laughton, Ms.Banducci and Ms. Trapani who have
worked very hard on behalf of all the students.

On Friday June 10, 2011. Ten Intermediate students
participated in the third invitational Golf Tournament at Derry

CATHOLIC RATEPAYERS
MEADOWVALE VILLAGE MARKS 175 YEARS
If you are a Catholic Ratepayer, we urge you to check your
property tax bill to ensure that your support is directed to your
local Catholic School Board. If you are a tenant, you can
verify your support by contacting our Admissions Department
at (905) 890-0708. By ensuring that you are a Catholic School
Supporter, you can help deliver a powerful message to the
government about the level of support for publicly funded
Catholic students in Ontario. In order to vote for your local
Catholic School Board Trustee you must be registered as a
separate school supporter.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 17 from noon
to 5 pm. It is the 175th anniversary of Old Meadowvale
Village and a big celebration is planned on Pond Street, Old
Mill Lane and Derry Road. As the village was started by Irish
immigrants 175 years ago, an Irish band will be playing and
Irish dancers will be performing. There will be nature walks,
heritage presentations, native drummers, antique cars and fire
engines and Hazel McCallion will be saying a few words.
Take some time to pop by and see the sights and enjoy some
food and treats with your family. It is also a great opportunity
for the grade 8 students to start earning community hours if
they would like to volunteer at the event.
LOST AND FOUND…DON’T FORGET TO LOOK
We would like to remind students and parents to take a
look at our Lost and Found for any items that may be yours
and were misplaced throughout the year. Our custodian has
placed these items on a table by PLASP. Please check it, as all
items will be donated to charity at the end of the school
year.
SUNSCREEN
Over exposure to the sun can cause skin damage. Students are
reminded to take precautions to protect the skin. Some
recommendations to re-duce the effects of sun damage are:
Wear protective clothing to cover the skin, wear a hat and
sunglasses to protect the eyes and the skin. Wear sun block
and stay away from direct sunlight where possible.
