New Gator In Our Halls!
On Monday, February 22nd some of our students
presented the new Gator-wear and Class of 2010
Grad-wear at the school fashion show. Special
thanks to Mme. Leo and Mme. Zarkovic for
organizing the event. Thanks to our models, who
also did a great job of showcasing the new
clothing on the St. Monica runway!
The new Gator-wear arrived in April and was
quickly distributed to classes and students in
individual packages. Thanks to Ms. McIntyre,
Ms. Sunseri and our student-helpers for
assisting with the order collection and distribution.
SchoolTee Inc. did a great job of designing our
new school logo and provided good quality
clothing for our students and staff.
If you missed the opportunity to order the clothing
this year, we will be sending the order forms home
again in the first week of September 2010.
THANK YOU to all of our members who attended
meetings and committed their time and efforts to
enhance Council initiatives this year. There were
some new and returning members. Through the
year, we welcomed parents to our meetings who
were able to ask questions and offer ideas.
A special thank you also to the staff and teachers,
especially Ms. Smith, Mr. Krolewski,
Ms. McIntyre and Ms. Sunseri for supporting our
activities and initiatives!
STOP Germs & Viruses
at School and Camp!
As a service to our school community,
we offered gelFAST 2Go Clip-On Hand
Sanitizers for the not-for-profit price of
$3.00 each. We have sold 300 hand
sanitizers and they are still available.
Please visit the main office if you would
like to buy some sanitizers to help stop
the spread of germs at summer camp!
Gingerbread Fundraiser
Recycling Ink and
Labels for Education
Jocina’s House
Matthew & Dylan’s Train
To enhance our current recycling efforts,
St. Monica School Council continued the Printer
Cartridge Recycling Project to encourage our
children to REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE.
This year we collected $245 worth of cartridges
and toners for a total of $283 since we started the
program last year.
For our first fundraiser, we offered Create A
Treat…TM Gingerbread kits. These wonderful kits
were available as a house or a train and included
the gingerbread, icing, decorations and building
tray. With your support, we were able to raise
about $620!
We also started collecting labels from Campbell’s
soup cans and other products again. Each label
earns at least one point towards FREE
merchandise for our school from the Labels for
Education Program. Check the following link for
the list of eligible products:

Swing into Spring Dance
This summer, please save your ink
cartridges/toners and Campbell’s food product
labels for us!
Thank you for helping to
raise just over $4,500!
On Friday April 23rd, St. Monica School held a
Dance-a-thon to help improve our Benevolent
Fund. Your support helped families in need send
their Grade 8 children to Camp Muskoka.
Additional funds will also be used to enhance
educational programming at St. Monica School.
