Oh God, bless us again in your great love. We pray for this through Christ our Lord. AMEN! Central Family of Schools L. Papaloni Superintendent P. Peroni Principal C. Duke Vice Principal C. Merry Christmas to all! Website: www.stjeromeparish.ca Principal’s Message: As we continue our Christmas preparations, we are reminded of our many blessings. I want to thank each of you for your support, cooperation, and kindness expressed in so many ways at St. Monica School The success of a school in providing the richest possible environment for learning depends not only upon teaching professionals and support staff of the highest quality who are dedicated and care about children, but also on a close cooperative relationship between school, home, church and community agencies/businesses. Again our Pastor-Fr. Jan continues to inspire us in many ways, our Advent Mass at the church, visits to our school, attending our Virtues recognition assembly etc. Most recently our entire school followed Father’s lead with “Doing Good Deeds” for Advent. All students were asked to reflect on good deeds, prayers, mass attendance in preparation for Christmas. All students then received pieces of STRAW (from St. Jerome’s) and placed the straw in the Creche while reciting their good deeds and intentions. This will then be brought to our parish for further meaning and connection. This is a fabulous school with an amazing group of individuals. I sincerely thank everyone for being true partners in catholic education. Thank you all for assisting the dedicated St. Monica staff to provide the best possible education for your children, our students! On another note, I want to inform you that T. Gratton will be starting her maternity leave Jan. 6, 2014. We wish her and her family all the best on the arrival of their new addition. We are interviewing for her LTO, and will inform you once a teacher is assigned. Remember to try to be kinder than necessary, for everyone we meet may be fighting some kind of battle! YOU Make A Difference!!! Thank you to all parents/guardians who: •attended our Advent mass •supported all Advent and Christmas events; Share life Christmas Store, Gifts of Warmth, weekly primary advent liturgies, Christmas Spirit Week, Santa Photos, Primary Christmas Craft and Choir evening, Burton Manor Choir Cheer St. Jerome’s Parish Tel: 905-455-4260, Fax: 905-450-6326 E-Mail: office@stjeromeparish.ca Homepage: http//www.stjeromeparish.ca Sunday Eucharist: Saturday 5:00 p.m., Sunday 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. Fourth Week of Advent Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God-Luke 2:3 This week we add the Angel candle and as all four candles blaze, we recall the light of heaven’s glory and the celestial army sent by God to share his good tidings of great joy. Basking in this light we join the ranks of that host. For we are members of God’s liberating facesent to spread the good news throughout the earth. ST.
