Minutes The 19th meeting of the 8th Senate of the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University was called to order at 5:00 p.m. on March 2, 2010 with the Speaker of the Senate in the chair. There were 21 of 30 senators present. Absent were Senators Bianca Brown, Blake Garrison, Poorvie Patel, Allan Huntsman, Jonathon Tabor , Alex Stewart, Robert Onyejiaka The minutes were read and approved. President- Kevin Smiley - We got elections coming up - Election applications are due tomorrow - If you were elected last spring, your term ends this spring - They’re due tomorrow by 6 to the office - Provost search committee will be happening when we come back from Spring Break - I encourage everyone to take a good look at the fair housing bill tonight - I want to work with Campus Improvements committee with the Library - Earth day is coming up on April 22 - Executive Cabinet vetoed Bill Executive Vice President- Kendrick Bryan - AOII and Pike has philanthropy’s tonight - Spirit Masters Applications are due in march - Created a blog that is easy to read on smart phones - You can be an RA this summer for Upward bound - If you are a returning student, those applications are due April 15 - Org Aid applications are due April 16th - Monday March 15th, blindside is being shown in DUC theater - Western Wednesdays is a program in which WKU students will be rewarded for wearing WKU apparel throughout Bowling Green. Administrative VP Justin Thurman - The deadline for all org aid applications is April 16th, - Any organization can submit an application on the 16th. - Any senator who is interested in spending money this semester, stop by my office - Org aid appropriations aid committee has a bill up for first reading this evening.
