Transcript Voucher Pilot Program PURPOSE: For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University to allocate $1,225 for a Transcript Voucher Pilot Program. WHEREAS: Students typically apply for scholarships, jobs, graduate school, or professional school during the spring semester, and WHEREAS: Such pursuits often require the submission of an official transcript, and WHEREAS: Students must pay $4,042 in tuition and fees each semester to pursue higher education, but yet are further obligated to pay $7 for the academic records that they have paid to develop over the course of their studies, and WHEREAS: A transcript voucher program will help alleviate some of the financial burden such situations impose on students, and WHEREAS: A total of 175 transcript vouchers will be available to students at a limit of two vouchers per student, and WHEREAS: The program will serve as a beneficial partnership between the Student Government Association and the Office of the Registrar. THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University allocates $1,225 from general Senate funding for a Transcript Voucher Pilot Program to be executed by the Executive Branch. Be it further resolved that the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University support the reduction of transcript and other academic costs imposed on the student body.
