Organizational Aid Appropriations for Black Men at Western, Women In
Transition, The Western Kentucky Pre-Dental Society, Western Kentucky
University Students In Free Enterprise, and also The Kentucky Public Health
Association (KPHA) Student Chapter.
PURPOSE:
For the Student Government Association Of Western Kentucky University to
allocate $2,500 from the organizational aid fund to Black Men at Western,
Women In Transition, The Western Kentucky Pre-Dental Society, Western
Kentucky University Students In Free Enterprise, and also The Kentucky Public
Health Association (KPHA) Student Chapter.
WHEREAS: Organizational Aid is a beneficial service to the Student Organizations of Western
Kentucky University, and
WHEREAS: The allocated funds will support specific student events on Western Kentucky
University’s main and regional campuses, and
WHEREAS: Black Men at Western has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor
of helping with paying for certain events that they have in store that will help
make a difference on campus and help them grow as men and individuals, and
WHEREAS: Women In transition has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor
in helping pay for their Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser, Holiday ornament
contest, thanksgiving gift boxes, and textbook stipends, and
WHEREAS:
Western Kentucky University Pre-Dental Society has been recommended an
allocation of $500.00 for succor to help fund chapter trips to both the University
of Louisville and the University of Kentucky’s Dental School . Funds will be also
used to purchase tooth brushes, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash which will be
donated to the children of Potter Children’s Home, and
WHEREAS: Western Kentucky University Students in Free Enterprise Chapter has been
recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in helping with expansion of
projects within SIFE such as 11th street, the Kenya Basket Project, and Finance
101, which all have a huge impact on not just WKU’s campus but outside in the
community as well, and
WHEREAS:
The Kentucky Public Health Association (KPHA) Student Chapter has been
recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in helping with Competitions
within the state of Kentucky. Funds will also go towards helping promote positive
health enhancing behaviors for the students of WKU and the community of
Bowling Green, Kentucky, and
THEREFORE:
Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western
Kentucky University allocate the needed funds of $2500.00 to Western
Kentucky University student organizations.
