Resolution for granting the title and rank of Professor Emeritus for Jane Beitscher
WHEREAS, Jane Beitscher was employed by the San Bernardino Community College District (SBCCD) for
25 years; and
WHEREAS, Jane Beitscher joined the faculty of Crafton Hills College in 1991 and has been a professor of
history, teaching History of the United States, California History and World Civilizations.
WHEREAS, she has initiated several learning communities and cofounded the CHC Supplemental
Instruction program, and
WHEREAS, Dr. Beitscher is highly regarded by students, faculty and administration for her exemplary
teaching, prolific scholarship and devotion to CHC.
WHEREAS, she has served on the Academic Senate, Professional Development Committee, and Honors
Steering committee, mentored many new faculty members, and has twice been awarded the distinction
of Outstanding Professor of the year.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Jane Beitscher be granted the title and rank of Professor Emeritus
and all the rights and privileges associated therein.
