MSU Staff and Command Graduate

Congratulations to Sgt. Malcolm for completing the MSU School of Staff and Command held from August to December 2009. Sgt. Malcolm graduated on December 11, 2009.

The Michigan State University School of Staff and Command is committed to building the capacity of Michigan law enforcement organizations through the development of staff and command personnel within those organizations. Attending this 400 hour problem based course engages the student in relevant, real-life, work based problems. They are challenged in problem-solving, in depth discussions and critical thinking activities. Concepts and skills are revisited and practiced in many complex problematic situations.

Nice Job, Sgt. Malcolm!

What a wonderful response we had to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan

Collegiate Food Drive! The food drive is a competition between Baker

College, Kettering University, Mott Community College and UofM-Flint.

MCC had a slow start but pleas were answered as so many of you took that extra time to donate food or money. In the end we collected 3,159 more pounds of food than last year and placed second in the competition this year. Great job!

Collectively, the total was 12,865.1 lbs. more than last year!

Here are the individual college totals:

Baker College—24,322 lbs.

MCC—21,554 lbs.

Kettering University—19,760 lbs.

UofM-Flint—18,973 lbs.

Thank you for your participation!
