It is our pleasure to announce to you that NTC has
been selected to pilot a silent reading fluency intervention system. The online program is called “Reading
Plus® “ and it will be officially launched during the Fall
2010 semester. In the meantime, I am offering students enrolled during the fall semester session the opportunity to participate in this FREE reading program.
Reading Plus® is a web-based reading intervention
system that uses innovative technology to provide individualized scaffold silent reading practice for struggling
readers in the post-secondary market as well as students in primary and secondary schools. The Reading

reading research, develops and improves reading proficiency by providing extensive engagement in high success, differentiated reading activities.

Teacher Appreciation
With a special gift for learning
And with a heart that deeply cares,
You add a lot of love
To everything you share,
And even though you mean a lot,
You'll never know how much,
For you helped to change the world
Through every life you touched.
You sparked the creativity
In the students whom you taught,
And helped them strive for goals
That could not be bought,
You are such a special teacher
That no words can truly tell
However much you're valued
For the work you do so well.
Thank you so much for being
So very nice, kind and good;
I like you so much,
I'd stay here if I could.
I always loved your class;
Your teaching helped me see,
That to have a full and happy life,
Learning is the key.
