It is our pleasure to announce to you that NTC has
been selected to pilot a silent reading fluency intervention system.
The online program is called
“Reading Plus® “ and it will be officially launched during the Fall 2010 semester. In the meantime, I am
offering students enrolled during the fall semester
session the opportunity to participate in this FREE
reading program.
Reading Plus® is a web-based reading intervention
system that uses innovative technology to provide
individualized scaffold silent reading practice for
struggling readers in the post-secondary market as
well as students in primary and secondary schools.
The Reading Plus® system, designed in alignment
with current reading research, develops and improves reading proficiency by providing extensive
engagement in high success, differentiated reading
activities.

TB test are $10.00 and are done on Tuesday and read
on Thursday, please call for an appointment. Please
make an appointment. Physicals for Mott Community
College students are $25.00. Appointment for TB tests
and inoculations will be taken while the Nurse
Practitioners are doing physical examinations.
Tetanus Toxoid, Reduced Diphtheria Toxoid and
Acellular Pertussis Vaccine (Tdap) is $50.00. Vaccinations are done Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to
4:00 pm. Except when the nurse practitioners are doing
physical examinations.
All payments are to be made to the Cashier’s Office at
the Main campus, and a receipt is to be brought back to
the Public Safety Health Services Clinic, unless other
arrangements have been made.

Ellen’s Closet is OPEN for Business ...
On the Main Campus
We opened the Closet in October for the fall term with a new
wardrobe and new faces. Stop in and meet Aja and Christiana.
Christiana Shears, will obtain her degree in Social Work this
Winter 2011. Currently she interns at New Path West, which is
an alternative to jail for women. She loves working at Ellen’s
Closet, for the fact that she loves clothes and people, and she
feel it will help with her career. Christiana enjoys making quilts
and blankets.

to help people find clothes to further their career futures.
