Divide your class into small teams. Have them draw one item at a time out of the
envelope without changing the order and write the items on the board or chart paper.
Make as many different envelopes as you need.
Each group has to establish a connection between each item drawn and present it to the
class. 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, 5 to 6, 6 to 1
Have the class listen to the connection to see if they may devise a stronger connection. If
they want to challenge a group’s connection, have them write an exit card with their
challenge connection on it and turn it in on the way out the door. A few extra credit
points can be awarded for valid challenges.
